Job Description

Expectations include:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading teams of software engineers at various levels
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience on any public Cloud. We are on AWS so AWS Experience is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience of operating Kubernetes cluster with production-grade traffic
  • Excellent with Python, Node JS, Golan, or other scripting languages
  • Strong expertise in automating Infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Docker
  • Experience in infrastructure monitoring tools like Neuralgic, Cloud Watch, and other open-source alternatives such as ELK stack, Graafian, Prometheus, Alert Manager.
  • Good understanding of Database management and reliability (Mongo, AWS RDS, etc.)
  • Experience with scalable networking technologies (such as Load Balancers, Firewalls), web standards (like REST APIs, web security mechanisms)
  • Experience in handling centralized logging systems at scale.
  • Code, Build, and Release Management using Git and modern GitOps technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bring a strong mindset to establish DevOps Culture across the organization.
  • Bring better decision-making power for the betterment of culture and organization.
  • Gather cloud infrastructure requirements, evaluate options and come up with solutions.
  • Specifying, documenting, and developing new product features, and writing automating scripts.
  • Ability to hire while ensuring a high hiring bar, keep engineers motivated, coach/mentor, and handle performance management
  • Design, implement and improve tools, frameworks, metrics, and processes along with a team
  • Collaborate with multiple stockholders to bring in the best-in-class solution for the dev teams.
  • Understand the reliability of products and drive solutions to reduce MTTR and increase the high availability of the platform.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud
  • Understanding of Industry standards of Compliance and Security for infrastructure and applications.
Knowledge of distributed Messaging/Task Queues: Kafka is a huge plus
