Department DescriptionBalance Sheet and Regulatory TechnologyThis group within Technology is responsible for developing enterprise applications for the Finance division and is focused on various initiatives to help renovate and automate their business processes involving the production of the firms balance sheet and reporting financials to regulators globally. The team is distributed globally across London, New York, Mumbai, Montreal, Glasgow, Shanghai, Melbourne, and Tokyo and mostly co-located with Finance business partners with daily interactions with them. Team & Position Description:The team manages the technology platform that enables the Finance Regulatory Controllers group collect and report on the firms balance sheet and critical financial metrics to key regulators globally. This includes the firms key financial statements, financial (balance-sheet, capital and liquidity) ratios as well as key financial reports representing the financial health of the firm and the surrounding ecosystem. The team owns, builds and maintains proprietary in-house and vendor based applications that operate on large volumes of data, perform critical financial calculations and produce complex reporting. The team follows agile principles for SDLC, has a strong Devops practice, and works on a range of technologies including web based front-end, java based server side, databases (Teradata, Sybase) and a vendor based platform. The team along with the broader group is currently looking at renovating the tech stack further to adopt cloud based technologies. The team is located globally and interacts very closely with its business stakeholders in the Finance Control Group across multiple locations. The team will soon undertake a major renovation of the regulatory reporting tech platform and address several functional and technology challenges in the space We are seeking an experienced agile leader to manage the Regulatory Reporting Technology squads within Finance Technology, Mumbai and lead the delivery of multiple initiatives in this space. The candidate will have a business face-off role and work closely with the Finance Regulatory Controllers group globally and specifically in the Mumbai region. She/He will be part of the Finance Tech India Management team and work with other senior stakeholders within the technology organization. The role will require the candidate to be technical, with a strong understanding of large data processing and reporting design principles, and the ability to bring in fresh ideas for re-architecture and design. The candidate is expected to be strong in agile and devops practices and be experienced in delivering on large scale programs. She/He should be able to lead, inspire and coach junior and experienced (including VP level) members of the team and have experience working with senior business stakeholders. She/He will be expected to drive standardization and architecture discussion across the larger group and be responsible for high quality implementations. Experience working in the financial services industry and with specific focus on Finance Control or Reporting functions is preferred., *Technical Skills:

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Full stack or experience in a programming language such as Java preferred
• Experience with databases and proficiency with SQL.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux
• Knowledge of working with reporting tools and vendor platforms such as Axiom preferred
• Familiarity with web services, data engineering and high performance data processing applications preferred
• Experience working on large and medium scale projects in an agile environment with a mature devops practice
• Familiarity with Cloud (Azure/AWS) and cloud native technologies preferred
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field
