Job Description

    *Job Location: Mumbai Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firms employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.Team Profile The Legal, Compliance and Governance Technology organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Legal and Compliance division. The Fraud Technology Department is responsible for detecting, preventing, notifying, and reporting on all Fraud outside and inside the firm. We provide technology solutions, consultation, controls, governance, and expertise to fraud analysts in operations and cybersecurity, define technology strategy and architecture, implement analytical, real-time, batch, and data-oriented solutions, and release custom and vendor-based solutions in partnership with other technology and business organizations across the Firm.Role Profile As a technical developer your role will be to join one of the Fraud Agile squads. You will be a productive member of the development team and share core tasks across the full solution stack including data, middle tier, and front end as appropriate subject to your particular aptitudes. You will focus on of all aspects of the process, developing supportable, scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, and participate in solution design discussions, review, release, testing, and post-release quality control. All aspects of development from container and sourcing strategy including ETL, lineage, governance, automation, DevOps, entitlements, security, reporting, documentation, quality control, and related topics including feature engineering, analytics, modeling, code implementation, real-time and batch storage and computation, and statistics are in scope where appropriate. You will work closely with our fraud analytics and reporting teams and across squads to make sure their technical needs are fully understood and aligned strategically. You will be expected to make suggestions both to the business, technology, partners, and consumers, on how to leverage our full productivity. You will be expected to share ownership of our projects and contribute to the active development and maintenance of our applications. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to modern software engineering tools and best practices. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to how a large investment bank like Morgan Stanley detects and prevents fraud. You will work in a dynamic agile Fleet that uses Scrum and Kanban for its workflow. You will be expected to be involved in the full development lifecycle. You will be expected to collaborate as needed with others teams in Financial Crimes, CyberSecurity, and related technical programs as well as working on your own initiatives., *Skills Required - Software development experience in a modern OO language and environment:.NET - Experience working with SQL and databases (strong preference for SQL Server) - Experience with data handling and governance - Excellent interpersonal, and professional skills - Experience of working in a Linux and/or Windows Server environment - Strong analysis and problem solving skills - Ability to learn quickly and pick up new techniques and/or technologies- .NET Framework (plus point if some .NET Core)Programming design patternsSQL ServerRelational database paradigms (Programmability, views, locking, ACID etc)
