Job Description

    As a VP supporting the Global Product Strategy & Development team, Candidate will work across global teams to ensure delivery of standardized and custom reporting on JPMAM and competitor products apart from managing Product Development/Documentation & Market Insight responsibilities, managing the local India team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Product Strategy
    • Producing standardized monthly/quarterly performance documents to be used across the business in various key forums
    • Partnering with various business groups across functions to execute key priorities, such as automation of reporting, data visualization, and dashboard creation
    • Contribute to completion of quarterly Manager Insights books across regions
    • Complete ad hoc requests across the Global Product Strategy & Product Development Team as it relates to JPMAM product performance, flows, and development reporting
    • Doing Portfolio analysis to hep clients take informed decisions regarding allocations
    Market Insights The Global Market Insights Strategy Team runs an industry-leading program providing institutional investors, financial advisors, and their clients with the tools and knowledge they need to make informed investment decisions. The program has two main objectives: 1) to position JPMorgan as the preeminent provider of market and economic insight to investment professionals and their clients, and 2) to help the sales force build lasting client relationships, gain access to prospective clients and create distinct sales opportunities with existing clients.The main function of the Macro Strategy Research Analyst will be to support our market strategists as they conduct macroeconomic and capital market research. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their passion for macroeconomics and financial markets through a combination of work, academic experiences, and extracurricular activities. A particular emphasis will be placed on verbal and written communication skills, but strong quantitative skills and a familiarity with programming languages are a plus. The candidate must have the initiative to assume responsibility for the tasks outlined below, and the skills to execute these tasks independently with attention to quality and detail. Responsibilities: Author the Weekly Market Recap, highlighting key market and economic developments and tying them to the team s broader views.
    • Provide written responses to questions from clients and the sales force in a timely fashion.
    • Present the Guide to the Markets and the Market Insights program to an internal audience.
    • Assist in daily production of the Guide to the Markets and quarterly production of the Guide to Alternatives.
    • Work with the strategy team to help create a team view, and use that view as a launching point for independent research/analysis.
    • Collaborate with groups across the firm to incorporate relevant market views alongside JPMorgan products where applicable.
    • Learn about JPMorgans product offering across equity, fixed income, international and alternative asset classes.
    Product Development & Documentation
    • Facilitate cross-functional working groups to develop business cases for new product ideas and evaluate significant changes and enhancements to existing funds
    • Review competitor offerings, offering technical insight, to facilitate the development of new product ideas in partnership with the broader Strategic Product Management team
    • Scope prioritized product ideas which include both new product ideas and enhancements/changes to existing funds, and mergers/liquidations of funds to facilitate review and approval through appropriate governance forums, including fund boards and regulators
    • Bring new funds to market and implement changes to existing funds, managing across all functions within the business
    • In full partnership with product developers, produce market leading documentation that considers all legal, regulatory and technical issues
    • Maintain consistency and quality across prospectuses through a robust quality control and oversight process that includes partnership with internal and external counsel
    • Strategic oversight of global changes to the prospectuses and offering documents for all funds domiciled in Europe
    Strategic Initiatives and Product Line Management
    • Oversee and deliver the ongoing optimisation of the product range in partnership with the broader Strategic Product Management team
    • Define naming and pricing conventions, share class strategy and capacity management
    • Assess the impact and manage the implementation of regulatory change across EMEA
    The candidate must be able to:

    • Apply a quantitative approach to the team to introduce new ideas and practices
    • Utilize qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze, synthesize and interpret information

    Qualifications
    • 12-14 years experience in Product Strategy & Development and Market Insights, Data Analysis, Data Science, or other quantitative roles with a background in Asset Management
    • Deep knowledge of investment products (ex. Mutual Funds, ETFs, separate accounts)
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and re-prioritize quickly
    • Financial analysis, project management, other quantitative analysis
    • Expertise with Excel (e.g., managing large amounts of data, complex data manipulation using pivot tables, formulas, etc.), Tableau and Python
    • CFA designation is required
