  • Product Management plays a key role in bridging the various teams and initiatives across strategy and execution, working with CLDM management and a wide network of other partners, to define and support the running of Client Coverage strategic objectives, focused on value add for both clients and the bank
  • Leading role within CLDM to define functional design principles for strategic (change) initiatives, and functions as CLDM representative for similar initiatives within the wider Client Coverage organisation
  • Supporting role on business architecture formation within Client Coverage, ensuring optimisation of the (CLDM) organisation and striving for a best-in-class operating model, balancing core business objectives
  • Accountable for scope prioritisation and design of a total pool of circa $45m investment budget
  • Utilise a proven track record within (management) consultancy or similar to define and support the realisation of the business operating model strategy, in alignment with key stakeholder across CCIB
  • Functions as champion within the Client Coverage organisation on CLDM capabilities and objectives
  • Works closely with CPOs and representatives across domains to ensure consideration and alignment of the holistic ecosystem within Client Coverage
  • Supports and enforces adherence to DQMF standards, and BAU data remediation initiatives
  • Supports and contributes to the broader Global Banking investment strategy
  • Works with other segment and product partners to align and converge investment plans
  • Leverage on experience within a variety of financial institutions to work with vendors with respect to co-designing strategic enhancements and the leveraging of industry best practices
Business
  • Fulfils a leading role in supporting the definition of target and interim operating models
  • Utilises thought leadership and experience across a variety of Client Lifecycle topics to steer, influence and support the business strategy and realisation of critical business objectives
  • Advocates a culture of continuous self-improvement, agile execution, and collaboration across CLDM and the wider Client Coverage network & its business partners
  • Works with Global Process Owners, Policy teams and others in understanding current state issues, mapping these to business led solutions and business advantages where possible
  • Supports in identifying opportunities for optimisation in execution of business strategy within CLDM, leveraging insights from the wider CCIB organisation
  • Ensures change initiatives within the portfolio are aligned to group strategy and Client Coverage s scorecard, ensuring synergies, and efficiency and effectiveness of overall delivery is maximised
  • Supports Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking and Business Banking Segments
  • Plays the role of Voice of Business for all CLDM Projects / Programmes
  • Works with Product partners to understand and support revenue generating initiatives
Processes
  • Ensuring technology capability maximises automation and digitisation of Client Lifecycle processes
  • Drives the business architectural design across core processes within the Client Lifecycle and ancillary domains, including the responsibility of continuous improvement utilising industry standards and agile delivery methods & ways of working
  • Influencing operating model by leveraging vendor products and industry best practises
  • Be knowledgeable and remain up to date about industry solutions and evolution of offerings that SCB can leverage
  • Play a leadership role in encouraging efficiency in software delivery processes
People and Talent
  • Recruiting, growing and leading a skilled product management team onshore and offshore
  • Leads the CLDM Product Management team in their professional journey and day-to-day work
  • As Chief Product Owner mentors and supports other Product Owners within CLDM in their key objectives of their respective (change) initiatives
  • Support senior management in cascading strategic objectives to delivery teams
  • Ensure a succession plan is in place and actively reassessed
Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to ORF standards
  • Play an active role in reducing the number of high residual risk areas
  • Management of vendor delivery to costs and capabilities including contract / SOWs review
  • Support Programme Delivery Managers in RAID management
Governance
  • Accountable for managing and enforcing the product governance framework.
  • Membership of senior committees including PWG, PGSC, and PRC
  • Operates within the standards set out by the SDF framework
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Product Management team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • 10 plus year of work experience
  • Lead the Product Management team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Leading role within CLDM to define functional design principles for strategic (change) initiatives, and functions as CLDM representative for similar initiatives within the wider Client Coverage organisation
  • Leading role on business architecture formation within Client Coverage, ensuring optimisation of the (CCIB) organisation
  • Preferred Cetification in any of these : Prince 2 , Investments & Securities (IAC Level 1), ISEB Business Analysis, ISEB Project and Programme Management (PPSO)
