Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall Quality Management activities and reports to MD, CQSH and COO (UI) in matrix system.
  • Working closely with the Head office /corporate office/ RO department heads and Site Project.
A.Coordination with Top Management
  • Overall administration & technical responsibilities of Quality Management Department (QMD)
  • Resource planning & deployment in QMD at sites.
  • Approval of Outline Project Quality Plan / Field Quality Plan and related Inspection & test procedures.
  • Overall coordination with SBUs/ Project sites and vender as necessary.
  • Providing Monthly MIS Data & Customer feedback analysis to Top Management.
  • Reviewing customer complaint and presenting the action taken to Top Management.
  • Initiating Corrective and preventative action related to Quality (Customer Complaint, NCs).
  • Assisting site in technical troubleshooting.
  • Identifying alternative material & technology for value engineering.
  • Identifying scope for optimization from statistical analysis and coordinate with site for same.
Periodic sharing of information for staff awareness and knowledge enhancementB.Quality Assurance at Projects
  • Using quality assurance processes and early intervention to minimize the need for reworks
  • All matters regarding to Quality assurance and Quality Control at Projects Site
  • Minimize defects through effective methodologies and cost effective materials
  • Techno commercial analysis in selection of construction materials
  • Assisting Site team in trouble shooting and providing technical assistance whenever required
C.Quality Control at Projects
  • All matters regarding to Quality Control at Projects Site
  • Highlighting the critical quality issues and customer feedback to higher management during periodic review meeting (monthly/ weekly/daily)
  • Co-ordination with SCM, construction teams and clients for assessment and approvals based on inspections
D.MIS and Data Management
  • Review of monthly reports received from sites and analysis of the same and presenting to higher management
  • Supporting Site QMD Team to manage and resolve quality issues raised by clients, authorities, internal observations during visit / audits.
E.Training and Evaluation
  • Training to staff / workers on good practices
  • Coordinate with corporate team to carryout periodic analysis and evaluation of site Quality
  • Frequently visit sites and ensure effective implementation of QMS
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 20 Years of Experience.
  • Must have worked in Contracting Companies in Heavy Civil Infrastructure work.
