The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution.Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products.Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across FID and Institutional Equities Division (IED) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management. Primary Responsibilities The candidate will primarily be supporting Rates Management and Capital and Funding teams globally. This is a broad role and will involve working closely with senior management and business heads to think through the problems of resource and client footprint optimization while coordinating with our partners in firm functions such as Corporate Treasury, BRM, Finance and Risk to ensure appropriate allocations to set the right marginal incentives. Role Responsibilities:
• Ideate & develop next generation of tools to analyse profitability of businesses/clients & optimization of resources
• Drive the development of frameworks for various reporting and analytical tools
• Develop proprietary applications for analysing impact of various capital regimes on trade performance
• Participate in Division/Bank wide strategic efforts, including product expansion & impact of new capital regimes
• Develop an understanding of various capital, funding and liquidity rules and models
• Coordinate with various stakeholders on different strategic cross divisional initiatives
, * Required Competencies Technical:
• Experience with some traditional core languages (at least one of Python, C++, Java) is essential.
• Experience with KDB/Q, as a platform for data analysis.
• Interest in algorithm design and efficiency / optimization of data flow.
Finance:
• Understanding of data analytics.
• Understanding of some Fixed Income products / Financial products is recommended but not essential.
Other:
• Clear communication in English is required.
• A desire to learn and expand expertise (technical and financial).
• Ability to tackle difficult problems independently.
• A desire to improve efficiency is ideal, both in terms of code design and end user productivity.
