Job Description

    *MSIM s International Equity (IE) team has more than 30 years of investing in international markets and today manages $50 billion in assets across international (non US) and global strategies, with a strong presence in concentrated quality portfolios. The investment team is comprised of nine portfolio managers and four research analysts, and also includes a team of Portfolio Specialists who coordinate all client servicing activities and serve as primary contacts for clients, consultants and prospects for the team s investment strategies. The team embodies a longstanding team-based culture where close teamwork has been instrumental in the growth and development of their business. Over the last several years, the team has focused on continuing to build an experienced, well-resourced and diverse team. The Role The IE team is currently seeking a Junior Client Service / Marketing Associate.The Junior Client Service Associate will support the team s London and New York based Portfolio Specialists by helping them to handle more efficiently and effectively the significant increase in Due Diligent Questionnaire (DDQ) & Request for Proposal (RFP) volumes and workflow. The Associate will be located in Mumbai to supplement the team s coverage from the firm s Mumbai-based Business Development Services (BDS). This individual, reporting to Emma Craig in London, will work closely with the team to understand our investment process as well as our RFP content across all strategies, develop the ability to modify or update content when needed and crosscheck that all revised and approved DDQ/RFP responses are included in the firm s RFP content platform Qvidian (Q). The Associate will also be a local IE team point of contact for the Mumbai-based BDS team, as well as liaise with the IE team s BDS coverage in New York and London. The team is seeking an individual to be an integral part of a longstanding client service-oriented team to support the timely delivery of high quality DDQ/RFPs to clients and consultants.Key Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with the members of the IE team in London to understand our investment process across strategies and its associated RFP content in Q, particularly as content evolves to address new questions. This will involve initial, and potentially periodic, training sessions in London.
    • To organize and cross-check all content in Q to ensure all updated and new content is captured in Q in a timely way
    • Circulate new/useful language to the IE Portfolio Specialist team to ensure up-to-date messaging is shared with all
    • Log all new BDS requests within the IE team s own system
    • Generate periodic reports on BDS request volumes across strategies / regions using the Tableau-based BDS Dashboard
    • Work with Mumbai-based BDS writers to increase their understanding of our strategies, process and content to ensure DDQ questions are populated with the most appropriate information in Q
    • Be a local point of contact for BDS team questions and liaise with IE team as needed
    • Eventually, take on more of a content creation role
