Job Description

    The role will combine all aspects of software development from design and build to test and deployment, working within a team of experienced technologists. The successful candidate must be comfortable working both business teams with a focus on solving business problems via technology in a fast changing environment; time to market is critical, but without compromising on quality or performance. Job responsibilities:
    • Develop trading workflow applications and data analytics tools for the Public Finance trading business
    • Designs, develops, test, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
    • Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems and an ability to quickly translate demands into sound technical requirements.
    • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
    • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
    • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
    • Participate and represent area in cross-functional groups with senior stakeholders
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
    • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
    • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
    • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
    • Working exposure on Java, J2EE and framework Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
    • Hands-on experience in creating and implementing UI using HTML5, react or similar JS frameworks.
    • Demonstratable ability to code in one or more languages
    • Curiosity to learn financial markets products.
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
    • Experience in building systems in the Java language and framework (Spring Boot, Microservices) with database integration
    • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React JS
    • Practical cloud native experience
    • Knowledge of Credit, Municipal or similar financial markets products
