  • Lead the Group CDO communications strategy that supports building a data driven culture where decisions and investments are made based on data and facts, increasing data literacy at all levels
  • Develop, drive and deliver a Group CDO communications strategy that is aligned to the Group Operations vision and addresses the full cross section of stakeholders: Bank wide, Senior Management, Data Community (including Data Analysts & Scientists) and external stakeholders
  • Devise an external communications strategy in partnership with the comms partner for Group Operations that aligns with the Groups Corporate Strategy to effectively position the Bank as a data driven organization and attract suitable talents utilising appropriate social media tools including Linked In.
  • Lead a cultural change across CDO ensuring the importance of effective and timely communication is elevated and prioritised
  • Anticipate and identify potential issues and consider these in communications planning and execution.
  • Effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders ensuing accuracy and consistency of messages on a timely and effective basis
  • Explore, identify, and leverage relevant and appropriate communication techniques, capabilities, and channels (internal and external) to ensure effectiveness and clarity of messages
  • Build a communications network of partners to develop and determine effective communications approaches and develop two-way communications for real-time feedback
  • Work with other Global Internal Communications and Strategic Communications Partners, as well as Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (CABM) Region/Country Networks to ensure the communications programmes are created and executed in-step with ongoing communications activities/strategy.
  • Implement measurable targets to assess the success of communications in building supporting the change programmes and to drive continuous improvement in our communications capabilities.
  • Identify, flag and advise on managing any negative reaction or concern about the relevant projects.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 4+ years experience in communications strategy
  • Experienced in leading and delivering large communications strategy s
  • Background in organisational behaviour would be an advantage
  • Strong creative, project management and organisational skills
  • Independent, adaptable, proactive and resourceful
  • Confident, Self Starter who takes the initiative and delivers, but also a team player
  • Able to manage and engage with senior stakeholders
  • Strong self-manager who can scope, plan and deliver their work effectively
  • Self-driven with ability to manage and prioritise multiple assignments
