Job Description

  • Design new molecules and do the research & process development for new dyes / dye intermediates / FWA (OBA) / chromophores for textile applications fulfilling the project defined by business
  • Contribute to innovation pipeline to identify the potential product / technology with active involvement for IP generation
  • Support commercial / marketing / purchase for the local product development with synthesis, formulation & application support
  • Support technology transfer and Implementation at internal / external manufacturing site
  • Take lead in the Interaction with various internal technical stakeholders and external manufacturing units to formulate the projects and execution with mutual coordination
  • Lab management and documentation support to Leader in managing the belongings, like:- development and execution of target syntheses, introduction of processes, feasibility & planning assessment, cost estimation, technical business cases etc.
  • Interpret and record scientific data in an appropriate manner.
  • Prepare communication, internal reports and half yearly summaries on project activities and implementation
  • Accountable for the implementation of GLP and EHS policies at work
  • Technical thought leadership Concept to Commercial experience
  • Implementation of Innovation ideas and stage gate process
  • Building the team and driving the engagement through personal leadership.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience:Ph. D. In dyes/ FWA (OBA) / synthetic organic chemistry 7 years relevant experienceM. Tech in dyes/ FWA (OBA) / synthetic organic chemistry: 10 years relevant experience
  • Work experience in Research, Process development, Formulation and Application in the area of Intermediates & Dyes / Florescent whitening agent is must.
  • Hand-on experience in Chemistries & Formulation of Disperse dyes / Polyester FWA is an advantage.
  • Working experience & exposure at pilot scale & production is desirable
Know-how/skills:
  • Languages: English, Local language
  • DOE / Six Sigma exposure
  • Exposure to project management and stage-gating
  • Ability to travel for training and support
  • Perfect in using MS Office package
  • Ability to work independently
