Job Description

    *The Role Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
    • Develop test Bed and verify test Environments. Set up necessary monitoring / profiling tools to identify and isolate performance bottlenecks.
    • Perform functional and technical test execution activities (automated tests, where applicable) as per GTM engagement level in the project.
    • Constant communication and follow-ups with various stake holders during Test planning and execution phases where applicable.
    • Identify issues in requirements, design specifications, application architecture and product documentation.
    • Develop Test specifications based on various requirement documents within schedule constraints.
    • Support business in case of any emergency during weekend or demand.
    • Contribute to accurately estimate work requirements.
    • Log software product defects and track it to closure.
    • Report status promptly to the test manager.

    • The Liquidity Technology team requires a test analyst to work on the Intra Day Liquidity project centred around the liquidity risk and balance sheet management systems to meet a range of regulatory and internal requirements. This role will sit within the Liquidity Technology department and will work closely with the business solutions team, project managers, business change and development teams on various projects.
    • The successful candidate will be an experienced tester comfortable with a role where testing and test case automation will consume 50% of the time and the remainder on activities supporting the change process. The tester will work on a project to implement new SAP Liquidity Management Solution in the bank and replace the existing system, as well as supporting the change impacting the existing application from its surrounding ecosystem.
    Processes
    • Facilitate regular (at least monthly) team discussions on risk awareness, operation and risk control improvements, lessons learnt from incidents and identify best practices to strengthen the team s operational risk awareness and knowledge.
    • Ensure the quality of the status reports such as DSR, WSR and MSR prepared by the team / self, and make sure the reports contain, concise and precise testing progress update, risks and issues and relevant testing metrics.
    • Perform resource capacity planning (ramp up / down, increasing strength of automation resources and Perm staff) on regular basis, based on the BOW, D&S and Organisation / Business function policy.
    • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with project stakeholders, Interface teams and Performance Test team during planning, preparation and execution stage to ensure quality of delivery.
    • Highlight risks proactively to project stakeholders, work collaboratively with them to mitigate any project risks, to resolve any critical issues and try to bring the project on track during testing phase.
    • Provide inputs to management to enhance the quality of testing, testing efficiency, new testing approach, productivity improvement and thereby reduce the testing window / timelines.
    • Ensure that test managers and teams work closely with the delivery functions and comply with testing, configuration and release management processes for the projects responsible.
    • Ensure all the test results / evidences are available, defect logging and make sure the correctness of defect classification by the team as per the guideline document.
    • Ensure tests cycles are run as per the Quality Processes, and under the Governance structure agreed with all stake-holders in the Test Strategies and Test plans.
    • Ensure Test strategizing and planning, budgeting, estimating, tracking and running the tests is as per the plans and within approved Budgets.
    • Prepare and publish Demand and Supply of testing resources to application delivery team and ensure optimum use of testing resources.
    • Demonstrate teamwork and collaborative efforts always and create a healthy and vibrant work environment in the work place.
    • All Test artefacts prepared by self and the team, meets the Testing standards and process requirements.
    • Manage day-to-day testing activities and provide timely resolution of the issues reported by the team.
    • All projects testing to be delivered within the estimated cost and schedule and with quality outcome.
    • Deliver key technology enablers and Testing transformation initiatives as planned for the year.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and surface key issues / risk to Management.
    • Develop skills set of the team on automation tools and utilities consistently.
    • Adhere to the company s Compliance requirements and Policy standards.
    • Work closely with Programme Managers to minimize duplication of effort.
    • Follow the Organisation s QA process, Testing standards and controls.

    Our Ideal Candidate
    • 10 years of Programming Testing experience and overall 10 years of testing experience.
    • Extensive and in-depth experience in a broad range of leadership / management roles with deep technical content experience gained specifically within QA and Testing and with strong exposure to development and Program Management disciplines.
    • Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior management - Head of portfolio, project managers, test managers, testing staff.
    • Experience leading large organizations with teams that are geographically dispersed and with virtual teams in a complex, matrix organization.
    • Good exposure to Automation and familiar with DevOps, Automation framework and be able to drive Automation in candidates projects.
    • Excellent exposure to Waterfall and Agile delivery with proven efficiency and track record. Relevant certification is added advantages.
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience.
    • Knows what quality looks like and is willing to enforce it within Standard Chartered organization.
    • Good exposure to product testing. Experience with at least one industry wide 3rd party product.
    • Project and Program Management experience in large complex organizations.
    • Experience developing or implementing a QA program, rolling out standards.
    • IT expert across design, development, testing and implementation.
    • Good knowledge of JIRA tool and be able to create Dashboard.
    • Experience with People Management, Vendor Management.
    • Exposure to Non-functional testing like Performance.
    • Excellent influential and negotiation skills.
    • Experience conducting quality audits.
