Job Description

    *Roles and Responsibility Strategy
    • The primary focus of the role is to deliver analytics solutions within Consumer, Private and Business Banking Analytics, specifically Client Due Diligence and Client Risk Assessment. The role involves constructing and developing Client Due Diligence and Client risk related models and analytical solutions with focus on inherent financial crime related risk of clients. The role involves extensive data processing and analysis leveraging multiple relevant data sources. The role will involve working in close partnership with multiple relevant stakeholders including business owners, data owners and providers, financial crime risk advisors, compliance and governance advisors, technology teams among others. The individual will be responsible for end-to-end analytics solution development, deployment, performance assessment etc.
    Technical Skills
    • Data preparation for problems and identification of errors in data
    • Leverages codes, tools and technology (including at least one programming language) for solutioning, as per defined processes
    • Applies knowledge of statistics and ML for solutioning, guided by existing procedures as applicable
    • Develops data products that are fit for purpose by leveraging advanced data and analytical tools and technology
    • Explores, applies and develops new methodologies; shares it with the community, where applicable.
    • Produce high-quality data science conclusions, backed up by results from data
    • Takes end-to-end responsibility for translating business question into data science requirements and actions
    • Applies knowledge of structured problem solving procedures, guided by existing procedures as applicable
    • Demonstrates awareness of and applies guidelines with respect to Fairness and Ethics and other related regulations and performs required model governance activities and related documentation with guidance
    Delivery
    • Performs tasks and executes solutions to defined problems using standard analysis and techniques
    • Ensures delivery on time with no compromise in quality, understands Business Objectives and PM expectations clearly
    • Create simple and powerful presentations which can be leveraged for discussion with business
    Business
    • Translate business questions into data requirements and actions.
    • Analyse data to recommend solutions to complex business problems.
    • On the agreed methodology develop and deliver the analytical solution
    • Partner creating implementation plan with Project owner including benefit of the solution
    • Support on the deployment of the initiative including manual scoring or implementation support though any system
    • Create the technical and review documents for approval as relevant
    • Enables the organisation to be more data driven by supporting the business with critical insights and translation into action(s)
    • Proactively shares trends and insights to trigger discussion and decision.
    • Applies and integrates statistical, analytical and modelling skills to high volume data from a variety of sources.

    • Ensure effective management of operational risks within the function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations

    • Driving an environment of collaboration, both within CPBB Banking and across the wider Group, to ensure issues are raised and blockages are resolved in a timely manner
    • Be able to work in agile fashion with other teams and support development /implementation of the solution

    • Interpret the Group s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
    • Ensure data security and data sharing in a secured manner
