Job Description

    Manager- Financial Reporting - Life Insurance- To complete the financial reporting in timely fashion and with quality for all stake holders and to facilitate the finance re-engineering role for smooth and efficient financial operations- To be responsible for monitoring statutory audits and limited reviewsKey Responsibilities :- To ensure correct and timely financial reporting to the Group and statutory authorities- To Co-ordinate with statutory auditors and have the timely completion of the limited reviews/ statutory audits- To liaison with various departments and perform variance analysis for all financial statements line items- To design accounting policies and prepare monthly financial statements (IGAAP and IND AS) along with the monthly projections.- To ensure compliance of financial reporting guidelines as per IRDAI and IND AS requirements for Group reporting- To perform analysis on all financial reports, identify trends and develop improvement plans.- To implement IND AS module and ensure IND AS accounting entries are captured in the system.Specific Authorities( Financial & Non Financial)- Not ApplicableHR/ JD/ Ver1.0/1 st Feb 2020Internal Key Performance Indicators :- Timely submission of the financial statements to the Group as per group timelines of each month - 100% compliance- Timely submission of IRDAI Report - 100% compliance- Error in financial statement & IRDAI Report Qualifications :- Chartered Accountant- Experience- 4-8 Years- Base skill Understanding of organizational systems, process and productsFunctional Competencies :- Insurance Accounting skills - Knowledge of Insurance Sector- Other Basic Accounting skills -Strong understanding of Accounting for Operating Expenses- Financial statements and reporting- Regulatory knowledge- Insurance/Financial Industry knowledge- Taxation knowledgeBehavioral Competencies :- Business Acumen- Execution Excellence- CollaborationKey Interactions :Internal Nature or purpose of interaction- Actuarial team- Liaison with the Actuarial team in getting the reserves and numbers- Operations team, Revenue accounting and Accounts payable team- Liaison with different teams and obtain the reasons for any big variations in the numbers reported and ensure correct reporting.- Investment team - Liaison with Investment team for the investment income and Investment trial balance as per the required timeframes- Compliance Team - For all Regulatory reporting- Corp MIS and - Liaison with Corp.
