    • The role holder will be a part of the new stress testing hub being created in Bangalore and Chennai.
    • The Planning and Stress Testing Delivery team is responsible for production planning and delivery of Corporate Plan, Target setting, Regulatory and non-Regulatory Stress test exercise and strategic planning aligning to the GCFO strategic change agenda. The delivery team is responsible for delivery of these processes and supporting all the relevant process stakeholders involved in delivery. The delivery team works closely with the related Risk and Finance workstreams to define a delivery process, understand the status of their deliverables, report progress against plans and outputs, and develop high quality stakeholder management updates.
    • The role holder, will support the Senior Manager, Stress test delivery and team for activities related to delivering following Risk and Governance for stress testing activities.
    • This is a rapidly evolving space, so the role holder must be comfortable with ambiguity and change.
    • Lead and facilitate (where required) the Operational risk framework on behalf of the first line business teams for regulatory, management stress test exercises for country and group as required.
    • Enforce governance framework across stress teams to effectively manage risk & controls in the process.
    The role holder will project manage and co-ordinate various Enterprise Stress Tests activities related to Risk and Governance. Risk Management
    • Draw the production plan timelines for OR Control execution and track to the plan by co-ordinating with stakeholders.
    • To ensure all required controls and procedures are adhered in all processes for every ST and planning exercise and raise necessary dispensation as may be required.
    • Co-ordinate and ensure satisfactory audit rating in both internal and external reviews by highlighting risks and agreeing mitigation.
    • Track and follow up on all outstanding Committee open actions are reviewed and acted appropriately within agreed timelines.
    • Perform review of process notes / department operating instructions on roll-out of process change or on a pre-agreed periodicity, as appropriate.
    • Understand various Risk Management tools in the unit/ function and ensure adherence to the same.
    • Identify ways to improve the process and agree mitigation in place.
    Governance:
    • Manage key stakeholders, conduct challenge sessions with the stakeholders on testing process.
    • Co-ordinate challenge session/ agreement with Operational risk stakeholders, RFO s and business stakeholders (risk and finance) to arrive at final residual risk ratings.
    • Periodically challenge and review the applicability of CST /KCI, appropriateness of sampling methodology and sample size and work with Global process owners.
    • Ensure all open items are closely monitored by the team and reported to governance forums when due.
    • Serve as a Single point of contact for ORF related queries around ORF for the country.
    • Ensure the results are updated in Operational risk systems (EORP,Knox,M7) from time to time on account of change in underlying processes and controls and validate the availability of necessary approvals from Country process owner.
    • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
    • Deliver effective governance ; capability to challenge colleagues effectively or escalate appropriately; and willingness to work in an open and cooperative manner with all.
    Committee secretary
    • Conduct committee meetings throughout the year, as needed.
    • Take minutes of committee meetings and submit to committee chair and other committee members for review and approval.
    • Update and share the relevant documentation for committee meetings ahead of the committee meetings.
    • Maintain stakeholder list and documentation of the committee meetings.
    Processes
    • The role holder will need to support the establishment and documentation of all processes and effective controls for the new hub in accordance with the broader stress testing team.
    People and Talent
    • The role holder will need to support development and stabilisation a newly formed team, working across geographies.

    Our Ideal Candidate The role holder will have experience in:
    • Regulatory reporting in the financial services industry.
    • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Banking regulations.
    • Knowledge of risk and governance processes.
    • Working across geographies and timezones.
    • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
    • Robust skills for qualitative and quantitative analysis e.g. financial and process.
    • Excellent academic background, preferably with a degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, statistics/mathematics, sciences or engineering.
    • Understanding of SCB s key footprint markets will be added plus.
