Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an Architect, you will be an exemplary technical leader in his/her areas of practice. Bring deep experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and Development leadership which are among the best in the industry. This role is crucial to developing cutting edge enterprise-ready solutions for clients worldwide specially using emerging technologies. The role would involve working with project managers and SMEs in taking up challenging/complex projects to develop and execute complex solutions for IBM clients worldwide. He or she will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be leveraged by the wider IBM audience through development of best-in-class reusable assets often using bleeding edge technologies on First of a Kind projects.Responsibilities:Participates in translation of the clients business requirements to define the structures of solutions and architectures and can include systems, applications, and process components. The Architect understands client needs, works in levels of abstraction, applies industry knowledge, and leverages appropriate business elements and information technology to address those needs. This includes working as a team member with client personnel to identify functional and non-functional requirements and subsequently working with or in some instances leading others in the identification, justification and design of the clients solution

• Participates in a wide range of design activities, from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification. This position requires knowledge across multiple platforms, processes or architectures
• Applies knowledge of information technology and associated methods and tools of the Architect profession to attain project / business unit objectives. Demonstrates the required proficiency levels for technical skills
• Advises other professionals (Project Managers, Architects and IT Specialists) in team on tools, technology and methodology related to the design and development of architectural solutions and participates in evaluation and selection. May be asked to research special topics as part of team responsibilities
• Works effectively with other team members to understand customer needs and to design, evaluate and develop architectural solutions which meet those needs. Guides and influences team members, including customer, vendor and subcontractor personnel, and IBMers to accomplish the teams technical and schedule goals.
• Applies creativity and judgment in development of multiple architectural solutions related to project objectives.
• Analyses problems and creates solutions involving business, I/T technology, methodology, process, tools and solution components.
• Provides guidance to implementation team members throughout the project life-cycle. May lead implementation in a small project or be responsible for subsystem implementation in a large project.
• Knowledge Management: Global knowledge sharing, and management is key to IBMs success. Will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection, and reuse of IBMs intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 10 years experience as IT Architect and should have minimum 3 years experience as Architect in middleware of cloud platforms.
• Provides technical direction to teams on architecting, designing, building and deploying cloud solution for enterprise applications.
• Advanced knowledge in design, implementation, and management of MPLS networks
• Expert knowledge in MPLS-associated routing protocols, WAN resiliency, high availability and quality of service drivers, WAN optimization, unified communication concepts, session initiation protocol (SIP)
• Proficient product knowledge of Riverbeds, Cisco and Nortel products, Microsoft Lynch Server, MS Office Communication Server, Cisco Voice
• Hands-on experience in design and implementation of enterprise network Solutions.
• Good Knowledge and expertise on Network Design, Network Modeling, and Network Security.
• Leads infrastructure and application migration to cloud.
