Job Description

You have found the right team.As the Controller professional in our Corporate & Investment Banking team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. The product control function provides support to the financial controllers and trading desks, ensuring that the P&L, balance sheet, and month end close procedures are done correctly and accurately. Job Responsibilities:
    • Forecast financials on a monthly basis which includes revenues and expenses. Support and provide input on semi-annual and annual planning exercises.
    • Expense analysis: understand direct and indirect expenses and set up allocation rules to recover these expenses from other LOBs.
    • Understand the drivers of CIB Management s P&L and Risk, monitoring the revenue, forecasting P&L and conducting robust variance analysis (month on month, quarter on quarter, and year on year)
    • Work across the team on BAU and projects/initiatives
    • Support the businesses included in CIB Management and work with senior Business Partners (Legal, Tax, Diversity, Treasury, Corporate Events, OTS, Real Estate & others).
    • Global Reporting: consolidate and prepare reporting for senior management reviews
    • Monthly and quarterly regulatory and RWA reporting and analysis, as required. Communicate and coordinate across the global team to identify best practices and implement them
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
    • 5-6 years of experience in Finance
    • Understanding of accounting, forecasting and management reporting
    • Comfort liaising with multiple stakeholders in Finance, LEC, and SFO
    • Ability to build and maintain partnerships across other corporate financial, treasury, and accounting groups
    • Ability to understand business drivers and requirements and influence business managers and technology partners to deliver solutions to issues and problems
    • Ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system and general ledger systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies
    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting / Finance preferred.
