Job Description

    • Understand the user requirements and participate in solution and design, particularly the derivation logic used in mapping the source messages from various TP s to the standard target message model. Participate into the full Agile development life cycle of solution building for the transformation
    • Contribute to implementation and enforcement of best practices related to standards and control of software code, testing and release management in messaging development
    • Release to production and provide third line support to production support or other development teams, as required
    • Be able to analyse issues and fix them during testing and in production.
    • To contribute and enhance existing Test framework by creating unit test cases.
    • Track and maintain metrics such as application performance and system security
    • Contribute to design and implementation of application development solutions
    • Hands-on programming work for other project initiatives
    • Be able to lead and design the technical solutions requested by BA
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently and with team when required
    • Flexible to take different roles and responsibilities within the team as per project requirements
    Our Ideal Candidate Required experience, qualifications and skills:
    • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a top tier university
    • At least 8 to 10 years of extensive experience on software development, with specific focus on:
      • Core Java, J2EE, Java script, XSLT
      • Microservices implementation experience
      • Springboot
      • RESTful API design
      • Knowledge on fpML/XML - XSD
      • Debugging and troubleshooting for performance improvement and optimization.
    • Strong experience in using unit test framework such as Junit or Cucumber
    • Good understanding and practical experience in continuous integration, with specific focus on automating testing via Cucumber (Genie framework), Jenkins and deployment of packages using CI/CD tools (Ansible, Vagrant, Chef etc)
    • Experience of working with Tools such as JIRA and Git
    • Experience or knowledge in design patterns
    • (Optional) Experience working in Financial Markets projects.
    • (Optional) Knowledge about fpML/FIX would be a plus
