Job Description

    To implement and maintain the elements of a robust Compliance Program for Boehringer Ingelheim India that incorporates the BI key compliance risk areas and the elements of the BI compliance program ( Organization and Governance, Risk Assessment, Training and Communication, Monitoring and Reporting, Internal Investigations and Policy and Procedures). To serve as the business partner for all Businesses and Functions on Compliance related matters. Tasks & responsibilities
    • Ensures implementation, development and maintenance of the elements of the BI compliance program (Organisation and Governance, Risk Assessment, Training and Communication,Monitoring and Reporting,Internal Investigations and Policy and Procedures)across the responsible OPU/s.
    • Serve as the interface for OPU and relevant ROPU/ Corporate Ethics & Compliance to ensure proper information exchange and connection between the OPU and relevant the ROPU IMETA/ Corporate.
    • Support and Accountabilty where applicable to ROPU META compliance initiatives and on Corporate or ROPU led projects ( example Corporate Waves)as assigned by IMETA compliance officer.
    • Leads a team of local OPU Compliance Champions and/or Experts on all functional matters related to the Compliance Risk areas and the elements of the compliance program.
    • Enhance management awareness and management expectations and obligations related to compliance.
    • Represent BI in relevant industry groups and bodies.
    • The OPU Compliance Officer reports the Head of Legal and Compliance.
    • Requires knowledge and experience of relevant local and regional and internal and external laws, regulations and industry codes to be able to assess risks profiles for the organization.
    • Requires good analytical skills for reasoned judgements based on experience.
    • Ability to analyse factual information and resolves problems by making judgements based on experience of similar situations.
    • He/she has to be able to connect to all layers and functions within the local organization and has to be able to operate in a matrix organization.
    • Display a high level of maturity and Emotional Intelligence.
    • Has an impact on the business through provision of value added perspectives or advisory services in support of decision making.Compliance ensures that the business upholds the BI reputation and brand image and together prevents external investigations, audits or fines on non-compliance.
    Requirements
    • Education : Masters degree (e.g. MBA, MSc)or Bachelors degree, Legal, Pharmaceutical and/or medical knowledge, Compliance Certification
    • Requires a good understanding and theoretical knowledge in a subject area with a blend of formal knowledge and experience. Understands how tasks are structured, understands how the business is organised, understands external best practices. Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing principles, planning- and conflict resolution skills, Project management skills and a focus and finish attitude. Around 10 years experience in a global professional or corporate environment preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
