This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to the Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income Trading and Sales desks. Contribute and own projects delivering enhancements & stability improvements on behalf of the Financial Markets business teams. Own the build and maintenance of tools, to industrialize support of a cutting edge in-house trading platform. Challenge and seek new areas for automation of manual tasks from the global team. Work with systems development teams ensuring best design, deployment, capacity and operability. Work on the trading floor and analyze requirements in real time from users and technical support colleagues. Design and prototype solutions, through to testing and deployment. Ownership of problems to complete resolution. Communications to stake holders for outages/ releases/ updates on tasks. Develop/enhance existing tools and make them more scalable and reliant. Own the configuration of production resources, maintain integrity of the production environment, ensure the requests and concerns of various stakeholders are addressed in a timely manner. Provide first line application support including troubleshooting issues by leveraging knowledge of networking and scripting languages (Perl, Bash, kdb, Python), lead technical investigations and support mission critical applications in a high availability environment. Responsible for transitioning applications from development to demo, and then to production and ensure project deliverables meet production standardsCandidate RequirementsMust have a Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered, as an Application Support Engineer or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Linux environment in performance, maintenance, and optimization; Network infrastructures - TCP/IP, Networking Routing Protocols, and LAN technologies; Troubleshoot and resolve network latencies; Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other network and system problems in a complex trading environment including trade /pricing queries; Supporting applications in the following technologies HTML/XHTML, XML, Javascript, SQL, Java, kdb+, C, C++, SOAP-based web services, JMS, Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL, Ansible; Developing programs and business logic for business processes in languages including Perl, Python, C++, kdb+/q, Javascript, Unix Shell Scripting (bash), PL/SQL, Java; Utilizing tools to support and maintain large scale distributed application modules: ITRS Geneos Framework, Corvil, Grafana, Oracle SQL, Putty, Tortoise SVN, Eclipse, Toad for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Developer, ElasticSearch, and ION Marketview; Automating complex daily tasks and creating automated reports for business users.HOURS: Full time; Mon Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.CONTACT: Please email resumes to SCBAmericas.TA@sc.com and indicate job code: 4445169SPApply now to join the Bank for those with big career ambitions.To view information on our benefits including our flexible working please visit our career pages .
