Prime Brokerage Reference Data LeadThis role would be part of the technology team that supports the Global Prime Brokerage business.Responsibilities Design and Implement scalable and resilient applications to source and distribute reference data for Prime Brokerage applicationsCreate automated unit tests using a Test Driven Development approachDevelop a strong understanding of key functions of the prime brokerage businessPartner with supporting tech leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimatesAnalysis and build within Control, Stability, Resiliency, Capacity & Performance areasTesting: Unit, SIT & UAT planning and management.Robust delivery of code into the production environment with zero tolerance for post implementation issuesTake part in decisions affecting long range organizational goals & strategic planningProactively look to develop, implement and further development best practices across the groupContribute to quality improvement, code reviews, code/architecture standards, code reuse etc.Qualificationsand Skills(Required)Relevant University degree with at least 12+ years of professional experienceVery Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written)Expert level knowledge of core Java (at least JDK 1.8) with clear understanding of advanced concepts in collection framework, garbage collection, multi-threading, etc.Experience with building scalable and high availability applications with Cassandra data baseExperience with Messaging frameworks to support publish/subscribe please change to specific framework examplesExperience of working in an Investment Banking context specifically knowledge of reference data Instrument, Party, etcExperience working with related technical frameworks spring, JMS, Hibernate/JPA etc.Solid understanding of database concepts and working knowledge with any of the vendors(Preferably Oracle) with at least some exposure to performance tuningAbility to take on difficult and complex large scale problems and provide end to end solutionsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in business, operations, operate etc.Some experience of providing production support in a Level2/Level3 capacityQualificationsand Skills(Nice to have but highly desirable)Experience of working in an agile environmentExperience with any of the distributed cache frameworks like Gemfire, Hazelcast, Coherence etc.Experience with Cloud and container technologies such as Kubernetes etc.Experience with doing heap analysis, profiling etc. using any of the tools,
