Job Description

    SolarisExperience on Linux & Unix platformExpertise in LINUX/UNIX InternalResponsible for installation and configuration of Linux, Solaris & OracleMaintenance, patching, security best practices for Linux/Unix environmentsPerformance tuning of Linux/Unix hostsTroubleshoot techniques for break fixes, performance, and normal deploymentsExperience in implementing, and supporting Linux server solutions.Shell, Perl Scripting background. Other languages programming experience a plus.Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) & UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris) administration and application supportManage operations and monitoring of our applications and infrastructureTask automation of infrastructure and application provisioning using bash, Python scriptingProvides senior level Tier 2 Unix services, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex hardware and/or software issues and outages elevated from the Support Center and Technical Services groups. Maintains and troubleshoots hardware and/or software systems (e.g., applications, proxy servers, and fire walls) on multiple platforms.Experience of managing TeamGood Communication SkillsReporting Weekly/Monthly/QuarterlyMaintain Knowledgebase, Sop`sDay to Day responsibilities:Day to day management and support of servers;Being part of a team of technical specialists in service delivery and transitional projects;Monitoring of the servers, addressing any issues raised and ensuring that contracted services are met;Proactive maintenance of the server estate;Server Hardware and Server OS break fix using the EARS ticketing system;Patching & updates;implementing service improvements;
