Job Description

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders and delivery challans. Any deviations to be recorded in the delivery challan copy.
  • Maintaining Inward and Outward Register
  • Preparing the Material/Goods Receipt Note (GRN), Factory Indent, Material Issue Details, Stock Report of every day Consumable, and Spare Parts being kept in the store very accurately.
  • Managing entire store functions such as Receipt /Issuance /Storage /Loading & Unloading along with the documentation done in ERP.
  • Issuing of materials from all stocks to various departments on Material Issue Slips
  • Maintaining Minimum stock level of material at any point of time and coordinating with user departments to arrive at minimum and maximum stock levels and record the stock level for each item
  • Maintenance of stock register
  • Perpetual stock verification of all items as decided.
  • Generation of Inventory related reports like Daily receipts of materials register.
  • Consolidate indents from all departments & give consolidated requirement in form of indents to purchase department considering the lead time & stock in hand. Co-ordinate with purchasers & end users to minimize the lead time required in arranging all Supplies.
  • Give an item code to every item being issued on a regular basis and label the items in the store very clearly
  • Follow up with the party/supplier of material for timely delivery of the material.
  • Coordinate with various production departments for their raw materials requirement.
  • Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness in the respective area.
  • Take a physical stock verification of the entire stock at every month end.
  • Conducting Inventory analysis by A/B/C method with regular inventory Verification of stock items
  • Inspection and checking of all deliveries and return to the supplier of rejected stock
  • Stock movement (inward & outward) entries in inventory management software.
  • Enter all the purchased stocks, wastages and expired items in the system on a daily basis.
  • By periodic FSN (Fast/Slow/ Non-moving) analysis, monitors slow moving and non-moving items with a view to minimize obsolescence and deterioration /loss due to expiry period of products
  • Sending the material requisition details to accounts department for Purchase order or Work Order generation
  • Space Management
  • Preparing MIS reports and daily task sheet for Stores and various productions departments
  • Vendor sourcing and handling purchase
  • Preparing Weekly and Monthly production plan with help of Production Manager
  • Any other tasks assigned by your superiors
Desired profile of the candidate
  • Male Candidate
  • Hands on experience in Ms Word and Ms Excel
  • Thorough Working knowledge on inventory software/ERP
  • Diploma in Materials Management would be an added advantage
