Job Description

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupport ManagerPosition PurposeThis request is for Management role for Data Management project for NACB applications.ResponsibilitiesDirect Responsibilities- Database skills (Oracle PL/Sql, MS SQL) - Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting ITILIncident/Change & Release process.- Knowledge of ticketing and knowledge management tools ServiceNow, JIRA, Wiki, sharepoint.- Excellent SQL skills with strong ability to debug - Knowledge of data warehousing principles.- Knowledge of scheduling and monitoring tools like Crontab, Autosys, Geneos, Dynatrace etc.- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills - Exposure to ETL (Informatica) is a plus.- Exposure on reporting tools like Axiom, OBIEE, Moodys & Business Objects, is a plus.- Exposure to DevOps is a plusContributing ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work on rotational shifts and do on-call support- Autonomy and adaptability; must be able to take initiative and be proactive- Should be flexible in working on different technologies- Should be able to contribute to automation initiatives.Leadership & Management1. Timely Management reporting, team meetings, meeting with the stakeholders2. Team motivation3. Attrition under 12%4. Encourage teams to work on more efficiency improvements5. Better collaboration and communication6. Better decision making7. Manage the issues and expectations within the team and set the correct expectations8. More ownerships and less hand holding from the management9. Ensure trainings and other activities by the teams are completed on time.10. Be assertive and take stand where the things are not being followed as per the process and recommend solutions.11. Succession plans12. Should be able to perform without hand hold from management.13. Contribute to the Organizational initiatives14. Gain visibility with the senior management15. Should be looked as the problem solver and not blocker16. Control budgets and AttritionTechnical & Behavioral Competencies- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) - Good organizational skills- Basic office software literacy (Microsoft Office, etc.)- Professional attitude and good interpersonal behavior- Must be able to work on rotational shifts including night shift- Autonomy and adaptability; must be able to take initiative and be proactive- Should be flexible in working on different technologies- Global financial products knowledge, a plus- Project management skills, a plus- Prior experience in working in Onsite offshore model is a plus,
