Job Description

*Business Function Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.Job PurposeTo drive Strategic initiatives with business, business analytics, budgeting and controlsfor Consumer Banking Group.Key Accountabilities1. Support all strategic initiatives within CBG with specific focus on both liability (deposits)and asset businesses (mortgages, personal loans, Credit Cards)2. Business Finance support to CBG and Digital Banking through advanced businessmodelling, analytics including market / competitor analysis3. Help in preparing annual budget, forecast and month flash4. Timely and accurate business performance reporting, challenge revenue and cost drivers,suggest remedial actions5. Track and monitor Branch, Sector, Segment, Channel and Product wise performance6. Drive productivity / change management initiativesJob Duties & responsibilities1. Overall responsibility of CBG Finance processes and controls2. Single point of contact for all operating issues related to CBG Finance3. Evaluate all existing KPIs in Sales, Risks and Operations and recalibrate where necessaryafter benchmarking with Industry4. Preparation and commentary on Month-end performance reporting and dashboards5. Analytical review of all revenue streams and margin analysis by product and customersegment6. Preparation of budgets, Forecast and Flash for both CBG and Digital Banking initiativeJob Duties & responsibilities7. Support all ad-hoc business modelling and analytical review within CBG and DigitalBanking8. Track, Monitor and suggest remedial action where necessary for Branch, Sector, customerSegment, Channel and Product wise performance for CBG and digital banking9. Coordinate all new Product launches within CBG and Banking space10. Participate in all Strategic Initiatives within CBG and Digital Banking space11. Drive all change management initiative with CBG and Digital Banking space includingprocess automation to drive capacity modelling12. Deploy proper knowledge management process within CBG Finance by regular update ofDepartmental Operating Instructions and Create back up for all critical processes13. Deploy, monitor and review compliance with Group (HO) Policies and Procedures withinCBG and Digital Banking Space14. Manage all Group (HO) deliverables related to CBG and Digital Banking15. Act as Single Point of contact on relevant query response for both external, Group andInternal Audit16. Coaching, mentoring and development of team members17. Participate in all Finance-Wide initiatives and activitiesRequired ExperienceMinimum 15 years Post Qualification Experience in commercial banks preferably in retail /consumer banking spaceHave managed the Financial Planning and Analysis of Consumer Banking in his previous roleincluding preparation and review of budgetsConversant with RBI RegulationsConversant with Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS)Exposure in Regulatory reporting, taxation, accounting and dealing with auditors will beadded advantageStrong Team management skillsEducation / Preferred QualificationsCA and / orMBA Finance from Premier InstitutionsCore CompetenciesSolid exposure to Consumer Banking products (assets and liabilities) and processesVery Good understanding of macroeconomic driversVery Good understanding of revenue and cost drivers of Consumer Banking business, ability tomanage budgeting independentlyGood understanding of RBI regulations on Consumer BankingGood exposure in Digital Banking platformVery Good Business Modelling SkillsGood knowledge of accounting systems and principles (revenue recognition in particular)Strategic thinking abilityChange mind setControl mind setBusiness PartnershipTechnical CompetenciesHands on exposure in ERP (preferably PSGL) and BI tools (Preferably Hyperion)Hands on exposure in Consumer Banking product life cycle from origination, design, launching,set up, testing, monitoringHands on exposure to Non annuity revenue streams (Banca, Investments, Fx)Good exposure to operating and non-operating costs and allocation methodologiesExposure to hedging principlesVery good communication and Influencing skillsAbility to think out of the boxHigh proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint in specific)Market IntelligenceWork RelationshipClose partnership with CBG unit and OperationsStrong Working relationship with all units within Finance and All India Branch NetworkClose partnership with Digital Banking stakeholders,
