This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesOverviewRRSD Unit faces the Group Risk Function with a peripheral support to CEO CIB Function. It handles wide spectrum of activities to support the Enterprise Risk Analytics, Traded Risk Management, Risk & Compliance Reporting teams of the Group Risk. The unit is also currently expanding itself to support the CEO CIB Office with Credit Portfolio Management. Traded Risk Management:The Traded Risk Reporting team is responsible for the reporting, analytics and control of Traded Risk for the Financial Market (FM) trading books, across multiple asset classes including FX, Fixed Income, Interest Rates, Money Market, Equities, Credit and related derivatives. The is based in Singapore and the MI thus generated is used across Internal (Board Risk Committee Packs, Management Forums) and External (Regulators) stakeholders.Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Scope & ImpactWork on large, strategic, and complex areas in Reporting development domain that have direct impact to the success of the Business Strategy.
  • Automation & Visualization Understand the data footprint and risk drivers. Addressing ad hoc queries raised by the Risk Managers and Prudential Regulation Authority on counterparty credit risk.
  • OwnershipReporting toolkit modernization - implementing development and data best practices Code modularising, DB housekeeping strategies, Sharepoint reorganising. Develop new features or make enhancements to VBA & Access-based automation framework to support new reporting requirements and/or MIS requests.
  • GovernanceUnderstanding of Counterparty Credit Standards, Bank s Operational Risk Framework, BCBS Principles, Correlating the numbers across MI, Systems and Reports.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Work with system teams, project teams and monitoring teams on changes impacting our reporting and credit risk systems framework. User testing for project releases / migration projects / BAU enhancements.

  • Compliance with all relevant process procedure, guidelines, rules & regulations
  • To work and solve problems independently and be able to work in a deadline-oriented environment
Risk Management
  • Embed new Operational Risk framework into monitoring processes and report any escalations to Management.
  • Monthly monitoring of CST and performance measurement of KCIs
Governance
  • Work closely with Operational Excellence & Change management team members to understand key issues and processes and drive automation of processes.
  • Adherence to mandatory certifications and operational requirements
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
  • Post Graduation in Finance with relevant 3+ yrs experience
  • Risk Certifications from established institutions is recommended
  • FRM Certified candidates will be preferred
  • Any technical Certification in MS Office Advanced tools / SQL / Tableau / SAS/ will be preferred
Qualifications
  • Signature StrengthStrong product knowledge in FI / FX / Credit Derivatives / IR Derivatives / Traded Risk with expertise in Data visualisation, dashboarding and automation technologies.
  • Hands-on ToolProgramming skills in Python, VBA, MS Technologies (Access, Powerpoint), Visualisation Tools (Tableau, PowerBI), Workflow Automation Tools (RPA, Sharepoint), knowledge of AI/ ML will be an added advantage.
  • Analytical mindset Able to detect outliers by observing movements and trends in data. Be able to investigate issues and identify the drivers.
Soft Skills
  • Works well individually as well as part of a team.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Inquisitive, with attention to detail. Proactive attitude towards work.

General Skill Set:
  • Strong knowledge in banking products across asset classes (FX/Rates/ Equity/ Credit and Commodities)
  • Awareness of trading environment, macroeconomic fundamentals, market moves & potential impact on exposures.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work in a global team
  • Expertise in programming language is not required but good to have
  • Working knowledge in MS Excel, Access
  • Knowledge about Market and Credit Risk
  • Documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of the Group s businesses, governance structure and approach to risk management.
  • Experience in team admin tasks/cost controller/project accountant role with familiarity to SCB project management standards / tools would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience in Agile framework
  • Significant Experience in major regulatory programs in the Risk/Finance, Banking industry BCBS,IMM,CVA etc
