Job Description

    • Primary focus is across FSS and Docs & Channels.
    • Works with development teams to design robust, scalable and resilient business solutions.
    • Responsible for ensuring solutions are in line with TTO architectural guidelines and practices.
    • Work with FSS Business Solutions team and FSS Product to understand bespoke client requirements and when needed face off directly with clients.
    • Influence and take responsibility for decision making on tools for solutions.
    • Participate in FSS Client RFPs to collate technology responses.
    • Face off to FM and CCIB Architecture team to understand TTO architectural changes in policy/practice and responsible for communicating changes to the FM TPT community.
    • Take responsibility for managing solutions that need CCH approval.
    • Standing member of FM VAT (now known as FM ARF) to shape cross FM tech solutions.
    • Active member of TPT management team
    • Actively promote and drive solution reusability across FM
    • Responsible for ensuring FM TPT Open-Source community continues to grow and prosper.

    • Defining technology strategy that is aligned to business needs and meets the banks architectural standards.

    • Face off to product and operations stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.

    • Ensure technology processes are followed, frameworks adhered to and that all solutions meet the banks architectural standards and have the required approvals before implementation.

    • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
    • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
    • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
    • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
    • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
