Job Description

    The Regional Business Transformation Program Lead will be responsible for ensuring effective oversight of a large, critical, complex program addressing the Citi firm-wide Risk Transformation program to build a better bank, identifying and managing interdependencies between programs and providing transparency to senior stakeholders. This role will be responsible for project managing the definedtarget state and leading the implementation of sustainable solutions for specified workstreams representing CGW businesses.The role requires a reasonable understanding of multiple areas within operations and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the project. This position will be working with cross functional teams to ensure an on-time and consistent implementation of the Transformation items and milestones. The role requires
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to pre-empt emerging risks against time-bound deliverables and milestones/sub activities
    • Application of an in-depth understanding of the business impact and challenges of delivery
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills required for crisp communication often at a senior regional and global level
    • Ability to exercise control over resources, approach formulation and planning
    • Expertise in planning short- to medium-term actions and resources for this area
    • Ability to drive straight through processing, simplification and automation projects
    • Cross-functional leadership
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate with multiple teams across country, region and global or a functional area
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Business & Function Risk/ Control, Compliance, Data and ACT Leads, GCB Program Leads, and partners in second and third lines of defense
    • Work with identified stakeholders and key organizations in order to build and manage relationships with each.
    • Define scope, target state, and success criteria for transformation programs
    • Provide review and success criteria to ensure it fully addresses supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes.
    • Look across programs and initiatives to identify related and interdependent elements and provide recommendations, where needed, for combining or connecting programs and initiatives to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency
    • Up keep of the changing program structure and accountability
    • Provide review and challenge of transformation plans for each program, including definition and timing of work streams, deliverables and other milestones against commitments, dependencies and staffing
    • Escalate any concerns related to program structure and/or insufficient accountability, as needed
    • Track milestone dependencies across programs and escalate and address milestone delays, as needed.
    • Ensure closure and change management
    • Coordinate with Internal Audit on internal closure process for programs, as needed
    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how GCT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives for demand fitment; requires a good understanding of the project life cycle
    • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects such as process mapping, uplifting items, business critical milestones to name a few.
    • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including Senior Management, on a timely basis with professional presentation and data skills.
    • Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
    Qualifications:
    • 12+ Years of experience in project management, program management, Process Re-engineering, Business Transformation, Process Simplification
    • Ability to work effectively with Senior Managers and with large teams across countries, functions and businesses
    • An understanding of Citis businesses, the major strategic issues and the Senior Management landscape
    • Understanding of the drivers of value, including the ability to size and prioritize large scale initiatives across Businesses and Functions
    • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and motivate others, delivering positive outcomes in complex projects involving business stakeholders, consumer technology partners, and global and regional collaborators
    • Strong strategic thinking and organization skills
    • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize and possess a bold , curious and determined approach while being a strong team player
    • Experience in developing automation solutions will be highly valued
    • An in-depth understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
    Education:
    • Bachelors degree in business / finance / engineering (or a related discipline)
    • MBA or advanced degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting preferred
