Job Description

    Chase Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chase Merchant Services is investing in a global leadership position in the rapidly evolving payments landscape with an aggressive transformation agenda under the name of Helix. This multi-year, firm-wide strategy will build customer-centric payments solutions for business clients. It s a unique opportunity to build a modern product suite on a cloud-based, API first, big data platform at an enterprise scale. In addition, the agile operating model fosters the partnership of product owners, designers, and engineers to rapidly bring-to-market new product features. As a result, this transformation team will leverage the power of the firm to help clients expand globally with speed, efficiency, and innovation. Position Summary Chase is seeking an exceptional and experienced Sr. API Product Manager, Merchant Payments. The candidate will be part of a highly collaborative team that is tasked with understanding the challenges that Clients face implementing Global Payments APIs and designing solutions that addresses the concerns adding real business value. This position requires understanding of the payment lifecycle, technical integration experience, product development skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams. This role will sit within the Merchant Services product organization. Responsibilities:
    • Provide design and thought leadership within the team to drive out solutions that meet business requirements using established integration patterns.
    • Research and industry trends to assess the competitive landscape and best practices.
    • Find optimal solutions that deliver on Client needs and payment brand requirements for global processing.
    • Work with data modelers to create clear specifications that can be used by Clients and the delivery teams
    • Lead testing of interface designs to ensure objectives are met.
    • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure specifications are implemented as designed.
    • Establish metrics used to evaluate effectiveness of the solutions.
    • Monitor product performance with reports and dashboards, and periodic stakeholder reviews.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor s degree or equivalent practical experience
    • 12+ years of overall experience
    • 5+ API design and/or development experience with modern technology stacks (rules engines, cloud, micro-services)
    • 5+ year s experience in payments processing
    • 3+ years of Product Manager experience
    • Positive, team-oriented attitude and inspiring skills a must
    • Critical thinking skills
    • Solid influencing and partnership / skills to drive cross-functional teams
    • Approximately 20% travel can be expected
