Wealth Management Technology Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team. Job Profile Position Description: We are looking for a hands-on Lead .Net Developer to join the WM Core Processing Technology team to contribute and manage all aspects of application development, including functional, technical specifications, design and development. The team responsible for building suite of tools to manage security journaling, credit risk reporting, business unit risk reporting, client reporting and confirms. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and will have significant experience in application development, a strong technical background and good communication skills. He/she will interact directly with the users and with other technologists across the firm. Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities: * Define and lead the implementation of strategic solution as well as identify tactical solutions when necessary. * Lead the project delivery and ensure the projects are within scope, time constraints, and deliverables are of the highest quality. * Responsible for the hands-on design and development of .Net applications using C# and ASP.Net. * Analyze user requirements, envision system features and functionality. * Collaborate with other teams to build interfaces with their systems. * Interface with global team of developers and business users. * Guide and if required mentor the junior members of the development team. * Produce proof of concept in the new areas of development. * Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for the team. * Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing development and security best practices. * Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture process. * Investigate production issues and lead the development team to resolve it in a timely manner. * Provide technical support for debugging web applications, database and assistance to production systems. * The candidate will support continuous improvement of the automated systems and participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation), * Skill Set Skills Required: * 10+ years of hands on professional experience using C#, ASP.Net, WCF, REST and related frameworks. * 5 + years hands on experience creating/consuming web services and data. * Web: o Experience with distributed architecture including web services technologies * Relational databases: o Experience writing data queries in SQL. o Working experience with Database design and data analysis. * Problem solving and design: o Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and enterprise design patterns. o The ability to write reusable, optimized and maintainable code that is well documented and follows industry-standard best practices. * Agile methodologies: o Working knowledge of Agile tooling such as JIRA or other ALM tools o Practiced understanding of Agile development methodologies & understanding of DevOps Integration * Organizational: o Experience of working with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones o Good communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, across all stakeholder groups and with staff from junior to senior levels. Skills Desired: * Prior work experience with multi-threaded/ performance intensive applications. * Prior work experience with cloud-based applications. * Knowledge of Financial markets, lending based products & Wealth Management is highly desirable.
