It means your application has progressed to an important stage of our recruitment process.Role Responsibilities This is a role within the Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) aligned Plan to Perform (P2P) team, based out of India (within GFS). The team provides insightful performance MI and decision support to key stakeholders across the Group. A leading role in P2P managing the Performance Management Reporting team to support multiple Group FP&A deliverables to Group Board and Management Team.
    • Manage end-to-end delivery of Performance Management reports for Group FP&A, including review of key reports to senior management (MBR, CFO report, Monthly Flash and Outlook, QGFR, IR related deliverables and other key strategic deliverables).
    • Partner with relevant teams to deliver the Group and MT scorecards reporting.
    • Partner with the SC Ventures CFO team to deliver insightful MI to support SC Ventures performance management.
    • Ensure highest quality of the reports produced by the team, whilst being on top of relevant processes and timelines end to end.
    • Work closely with London and Singapore based FP&A teams to coordinate deliverables, ad hoc requests and communication with business finance teams.
    • Driving the monthly outlook process for P&L and working closely with the Planning team on the yearly target as well as the Analytics team for Balance Sheet and Capital.
    • Deliver performance analysis to support key external reporting events including half and full year results and interim management statements.
    • Analyse business performance, review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
    • Act as the go-to person for BAU process, data flow and reporting queries.
    • Continuously review BAU processes to identify opportunities for process improvements / digital initiatives.
    • Constantly challenge Technology to bring in optimisation in reporting system.
    • Support and drive further the digitisation agenda, including streamlining reporting whilst ensuring key stakeholder requirements are covered.
    • Manage adhoc analysis requests.
    • Support various projects including Enhanced F and other Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    • Manage a high-performing team setting clear objectives and engage in regular development/growth plan conversations.
    Controls
    • Manage overall design and outcome of the end-to-end process and own the process output in terms of client service, financial performance and risk, where appointed as Process Owners.
    • Implement appropriate internal controls and operating risk management / monitoring processes and procedures for ensuring integrity of performance reporting and compliance with related group policies / standards.
    Regulatory & Business Conduct
    • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Support the Group FP&A Management Reporting team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

    • Group FP&A MT.
    • Group MT, Business/Region/Functions CFOs and ACFOs.
    • Investor Relations.
    • P2P Finance and other GCFO teams including FR, Change and Treasury teams.
    Our Ideal Candidate
    • An experienced finance professional with relevant experience in Banking / Financial Services industry, with strong focus on process management and controls, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement agenda within team.
    • The individual should be fluent in reading bank financial statements and have a good understanding of banking products, accounting methods and external disclosures.
    • Working knowledge of Reporting systems like MRC/ HP / HPCM and SAP BPC.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in managing/mentoring individuals and nurturing relationships across stakeholders.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while delivering quality output to senior management.
    • Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a problem solving mindset/approach.
    • A resilient and confident self-starter with well-developed communication & inter-personal skills.
