Job Description

    VP/Head - Product for New BusinessOur client is one of the fastest growing Hindi general entertainment TV channel delivering exciting and engaging content for the Young Indians, using varied mediums. They curate, produce and distribute premium content including television networks and VOD for cable and satellite television, OTT and mobile platforms. We are looking for a detail-focused product owner who is passionate about building smart products that can scale for large audiences. Our objective is to create a new social commerce product that will inspire tier 2 & tier 3 audiences with awesome content & vetted products. The ideal candidate has experience building and managing e-commerce and/or social media products. He / She will have an entrepreneurial and consumer-focused mindset, and will bring this perspective to overseeing the ; (1) Conceptualization of a social commerce product, (2) Initiation of development, (3) Ongoing product iterations and (4) Team management. The ideal candidate will have a strong initial infrastructure and professional network that can be leveraged for product design, development and business growth:Responsibilities :- Working with the companys existing executive leadership team to build initial spec requirements for a social commerce product- Overseeing product research & design through delivery; including hiring and coordinating with UI/UX designers and liaising with tech- Thinking through & incorporating amazing user experiences, from download to engagement- Propelling product usage into the millions via great gamified design & marketing strategies- Building quick feedback loops in the product design process to quickly iterate- Growing & mentoring a strong team around you - across tech, marketing & design- Work with marketing, programming & leadership teams to build go to market launch strategy- Owning the product P&L- Market Research and Competitive Analysis with Data CollectionRequirements:- All-round product owner who has overseen product development from concept through execution and ongoing iterations- Product management experience of Social Media Apps/ OTT/E-commerce/Social commerce with a scaled product (1mn+ downloads)- Proven track record of growing a product through organic + paid means- Experience with tier 2/3 Indian consumers preferred- Have a network of engineering & design talent to hire from- Strong leadership capabilities and comfort in hiring and managing product teams- Comfortable taking on a people management role- Obsessed about consumer friendly, simple, clutter-free and clean designOnly those with relevant experience and background need apply.,
