  • E2E owner of reporting & analysis of Group Corporate Planning, Budgeting Restatement, Target setting and Forecasting processes
  • In-depth knowledge of the drivers of businesses performance and relevant key performance measures of Banking business to support the change requirements
  • Understand the performance of the bank, its businesses & products and provide supports to the team members for ad hoc analysis
  • Deliver Big Picture story boarding & messaging for senior finance & Bank leadership
  • Lead & drive standardization of MI packs across different planning cycles
  • Responsible for preparation, review and messaging of Management Packs like Finance MT, Group MT, MBR, Board deck and other Ad hoc group packs
  • Manage suite of reports supporting regulatory and statutory reporting (including PRA, Stress testing, Financial Reporting)
Stakeholder Management
  • Engage and influence Finance stakeholders, Liaise with ACFO community, FP&A LT, Treasury, Strategy, Tax and Other Finance teams (incl. other SMEs) to analyze/storyline performance
  • Support reporting and analysis team for Group Planning outcomes and Act as enabler for ad-hoc senior management decision support requests
  • Work closely with various process teams (incl. P2P) for effective delivery of outcomes
Change Agent
  • Own/lead automation/digitization of MI lead including prioritisation, delivery management and risk escalations during change transition
  • Support development and agreement of planning objectives, Group Planning approach papers with senior management
  • Understand the pain areas and provide recommendations for a more efficient and effective end to end MI solutions including technology related aspects
  • Contribute to transformational agenda and support all Global initiatives as applicable
  • Develop innovative, inventive solutions to evolve and deliver meaningful reporting and analytics to support all Planning Cycles
People Management & Other
  • Lead and manage the Team and develop the staff to take up different/more value-add roles
  • Partner with GPM and leaders to design and implement Standard Global Processes across all areas of planning and track implementation effectiveness and gaps on a continued basis
  • Monitor operational risk across planning processes and escalate key risks to right forums
  • Ensure compliance with Group Code of Conduct and Social agenda of the organization

  • External consultants on Project implementations.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Chartered Accountant or MBA with 12-15 years of relevant finance experience in Planning activities.
  • Experience of leading Business performance and analysis team in the Group FP&A
  • Significant subject matter understanding & experience of planning, performance analysis & financial statements, within large multinational companies in the financial services sector Specific experience in running the planning processes (or equivalent) of a complex multinational banking Group.
  • Substantial experience of banking, depth and breadth of knowledge in processes especially in the areas of Planning and Management accounting and related processes
  • Experience in operating within large virtual teams and relationships across a complex network of stakeholders including senior management
Competencies
  • Strong Senior stakeholder management experience including interfacing and influencing.
  • Strong and Confident Communicator & People Manager
  • Strong strategic mindset coupled with a thorough understanding of Planning processes in Banking Industry to Explain Why .
  • A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.
  • Hands-on data handling capability with Strong System & Analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
  • Presentation skills are strong familiarity and confidence working within Powerpoint and ideally ThinkCell
  • Have an excellent Systems skills (preferable planning systems), communication, analytical and decision-making skills. A strong self-starter with natural intellectual curiosity.
