Job Description

    The key responsibility of this role is to deliver the new acquisition volume target set by the company. Also this role needs to collaborate with the key stakeholders such as Product, Risk, Operation, OR and BRM, etc to ensure we have captured the good business opportunity to maximize the revenue and ensure all risk are well mitigated. As a Head of ML specialist, candidate needs to well aware of the market changes and adjust it to the best situation to react the market environment. Strategy
    • Develop targeting strategies for client acquisition channels by Segment and preferred geographic for sourcing channel consideration.
    • In line with defined strategies, prescribe performance delivery standards and revenue targets for client acquisition channels.
    • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client journeys, scripts and offers with appropriate infrastructure in place.
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure achievement of Segment-wise acquiring targets. Conduct root cause analysis and debottleneck issues as required.
    Business
    • Be responsible for all KPIs of Mortgage Specialist.
    Processes
    • Collaborate with Product, Risk and Operations etc to ensure the smooth operating rhythm and accurate tracking process of successful referrals and pipeline management.
    • Work with Product and Segment team to ensure effective leads are provided along with scripts and offers to improve cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
    • Work closely with Product and DB team for delivering fulfilment of Online acquisition.
    • Work closely with Finance, Segment, Product and Performance Management Teams to define overall performance standards and KPIs.
    • Work with Product and Sales Performance team on development of Sales scorecard, reward framework, and Sales campaign.
    • Define sales processes and standards for sales quality metrics.
    People and Talent
    • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
    • Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and BRM partners.
    • Ensure ongoing on-job training and career development, and ensure all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
    • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
    • Be responsible to review team structure / capacity plans.
    • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
    Risk Management
    • Work with Product, Risk and BRM to ensure all actions are compliant to regulatory requirement and well balanced on business opportunity and Risk related.
    • Responsible to identify, assess, control and mitigate risks on daily job.
    Governance
    • Work with Country Learning and Talent Development / curriculum architects to set training standards at Country Level including those relating to compliance.
    • Work collaboratively with Country Financial Crime Compliance, AML, L&C on Client Due Diligence and KYC processes.
    • Provide input to governance and operational risk to define measures and controls for prevention of mis-selling, misrepresentation, fraud and for adherence to Treating Clients Fairly principles.
    • To check Audit Trail Alert Report for monitoring staff system query.
    Regulatory and Business Conduct
    • Take responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Lead the Taiwan ML Specialist team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
