Job Description

    Role QA Automation/Functional India Equity Team is looking to hire a Quality assurance engineer having strong experience from 5 to 10 years on QA(functional/Automation) to work in our Equities team, a highly-skilled team of technologists responsible for maintaining JPMorgan s cutting edge trading applications. The platform provides services ranging from OMS, market data, reference data, session and recovery management, routing and back office system feeding for Global markets.The successful candidate must be comfortable working as a front-office specialist in a high pressure, challenging environment and solving business and development tasks via technology in a fast pace: time to market is critical, but without compromising on quality or performance.Candidates will be expected to be best of breed individual contributors; possess strong inter-personal skills as well as proven track record of both manual and automation testing capabilities with technical skills in any programming or scripting languages a plusThis position is located in Mumbai, India. Key Responsibilities
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify requirements
    • Functional testing to confirm the software runs as per the business requirements
    • Help with or implement solution of test automation
    • Build out and enhance Development environments
    • Handle release management, such as integrating changes into release tickets for various applications and co-ordinating/communicating with stakeholders
    • Share responsibility of support for Dev, UAT, and Production with teammates

    Technical Skills
    • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
    • Experience on GUI Automation tools like Selenium, TestComplete, UFT(QTP)
    • Knowledge of scripting languages like VB and Java Scripting
    Knowledge/Experience
    • The ideal candidate will likely be qualified to degree level in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
    • Good understanding of FIX and other financial messaging protocols is preferred
    • Proficiency in programming using Java is a big plus
    • Experience in test automation , tools and Framework designing
