Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.Introduction:Develop and implement integrated communications plans for Barclays International (BI), the Corporate and Investment Bank, and Private Bank in India; as well as provide oversight of media relations for BX India. As a key member of the regional communications team, the role is also responsible for protecting the Barclays brand in India through proper governance measures and guidelines.This full time role combines strategic communication advice with operational delivery across a range of internal as well as external channels, working as part of a fully integrated corporate communications teamWhat will you be doing Work closely with the relevant stakeholders including country and business heads to develop an integrated communications plan that will incorporate a full array of internal platforms and external tools, including media relations, colleague engagement and digital content Support the Head of Corporate Communications in the oversight of Asia Pacific anstrategic communications projects as required Lead in developing and handling business continuity communications for BI India, working closely with various members of the business continuity teamMedia Relations Drive media relations, including but not limited to:o Develop and drive ongoing media engagements and events, including interviews, relationship building, roundtables and eventso Drive press strategies at newsworthy market moving opportunities o Manage and build rapport with key financial journalists/editorso Monitor, track and analyse media coverageo Run media training sessions for key spokespeople where necessary Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors as needed, including tasks such as invoicing and onboarding Timely documentation of media activities and generation of reportsEmployee Comms Act as a communications partner for:o Country CEO initiatives and engagements create briefs, write articles, and coordinate with multimedia teams on large-scale colleague eventso Promote client-focused stories through internal communications channels Collaborate with global employee comms colleagues for firm-wide business communications and engagements Keep track of employee engagements and internal news, ensuring information accuracy and timely updatesDigital Content Collaborate with social media, marketing and event teams to amplify the bank s profile Contribute content to Barclays in India digital channelsWhat we re looking for:Bachelor s degree (Business, Communications, Journalism or equivalent) In-house communications experience in financial services (10+ years), with proven blend of internal and external communications skills Comfortable presenting to a senior audience, discussing key themes and adopting feedback Excellent written and verbal communications skills, attentive to details in all technical workSkills that will help you in the role:Can work independently as well as a good team player A passion for and proven experience in writing for a range of channels Ability to handle highly sensitive information and a fast pace environment Capable of multi-tasking, focused on delivering at the highest standard Global mindset and positive can-do attitude Willingness to travel as necessaryWhere will you be working MumbaiBe More at BarclaysAt Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
