This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesThe role holder is part of Wealth Management Core platform tribe and participate actively in the delivery of Core Platform tribe roadmap as well as lead/support the achievement of Tribe OKRs. As an empowered decision maker, Product owner is accountable for maximising the business value of their product. PO-specific responsibilities include:

  • Is a core member of the squad, 100% dedicated to the role
  • Ensure the voices of clients and relevant stakeholders are represented
  • May support more than one squad, but only if the backlog items are derived from the same Product Backlog
  • Accountable for delivering their products contribution to the Business plan and QPR scorecard
  • Continuous Backlog management; expressing Backlog items clearly and in a consumable format
  • Optimise value delivery through continuous improvement, gathering feedback from relevant stakeholders / SMEs / customers and prioritisation of backlog
  • Create transparency around backlog item progress, blockers, impediments, dependencies
  • Present at all required ceremonies / events to provide early and continuous feedback and prioritisation
  • Working with the Scrum Master and squad members to build an empowered, high performing team in a psychologically safe environment
  • Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (e.g. nWOWS, CGP)
  • Ensure regular engagement and management of Process Change, Operational and Delivery Risk for their backlog (and all other relevant Risk requirements)
Functional Alignment
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with WM Business, COO/ Operations, T&I, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups to support the tribe deliverables
  • Ensure appropriate representation across the stakeholder groups in delivery forums.
  • Escalate appropriately to ensure key stakeholders like Tribe Lead, Tribe Tech Lead and Chief product owner are updated and able to intervene as required.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
People and Talent
  • Demonstrate and act as a role model of the Group s values and culture in the region
  • Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement
  • Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to squads
  • Ensure squad capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5 to 7 years experience in a change/transformation role of a bank, or business analysis role.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working with technology project teams, if there is experience representing business, it will be a significant plus.
  • Strong skills in conceptual and quantitative problem-solving, aligning a broad range of stakeholders from multiple functions, and executing against a tightly defined timeline
  • Excellent professional skills, including verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
