Job Description

The Tool room manager is expected to manage the tool room of the Mysore plant of a well-established Rigid Plastics Manufacturer. As the tool room manager, the incumbent will ensure that moulds and tools are produced and maintained in top shape for production. The tool room manager is expected to take charge and be responsible for all aspects of production related to the tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage the entire tool room operations.
  • Supervise and direct tool room members & designers
  • Ensure preventive Maintenance of Moulds of all Plants.
  • Maintain and ensure availability of critical spares of moulds. keeping consumption records of the same.
  • Update Moulds Documents, mould Induction & Its documentation.
  • Root cause analysis of break down & permanent solution/design change to not repeating the same.
  • Ensuring mould health, its performance as well as maintaining the best quality of product
  • Will ensure properly maintain hand tools, machine tools, machines etc. at all plants. Ensuring to keep maintain sharp edges of logo inserts and other spare sub inserts and storage of the same. Ensure proper tools are using while mould assembly.
  • Ensure the check points like cooling leakage, HRS connection, proper function of ejection, core pulling, proper bolting on logo inserts etc. before loading the mould on machine to reduce time.
  • Ability to handle a team of Project Engineers & Clients
Qualifications
  • A qualified graduate with specialization in plastics
  • Possess 10+ years of experience in Plastics industry
  • Expertise in production, usage and maintenance of multi-cavity moulds
  • Proficient in production of caps and closures
