Assistant Manager - Technical Services (Chemical Synthesis)

Job Description

Objectives: Independently execute lab work for identified projects. Knowledge on processes used in Textile and Leather industry value chain. Generate application know how of products. Visit customers and provide technical support required to generate new business in Textile and Leather Industries.Main Tasks: Coordinate with reporting manager and do the lab work for A-EMR/DA. Execute lab projects undertaken (Generated during customer visits, various internal forums, new concepts & Innovations). Visit customers and provide technical support required. Carry our literature search on projects undertaken / new trends or concepts and update reporting manager. Lab and Sample/Equipment Management: Maintain the tidiness and functionalities of the laboratory. Complaint Handing/Quality Assurance: Analyze product related complaints in order to expedite feedback to customers and achieve high customer satisfaction Contribute to Monthly Lab Report by providing required. data of various projects in presentable form. EHS related work - Lab Safety Act as Lab EHS responsible person e.g. act as first aid person. Make sure all safety regulations are followed. Do documentation for RC & EHS Innovation Management: Understand chemistry of products. Coordinate / follow up with Sales, Product management and Industry marketing to get desired data and get timely feedback to track projects undertaken.Education:M.Sc in Chemistry or B.Tech in Oils, Oleo chemicals and Surfactants or Textile Technology or Chemical Engineering.Working Experience:A minimum of 5 years relevant experience is desiredTechnical & Professional Knowledge:Knowledge in Surfactants, Polymers and Biocides. Knowhow of textile and Leather formulations and hands on experience on various lab equipments used for testing of textile auxiliaries.Objective of the position: Independently execute lab work and identify benefits of our catalyst product Lutropur MSA in the areas of Plastisizers, Bio diesel and Multi functional Acrylates etc. of Chemical synthesis. Knowledge on chemical synthesis of Esterification, Polymer manufacture (Phenolic condensation), Alkylation, Fries rearrangement, Dehydration reactions, Aromatic substitution, Hydrolysis reactions (Amides from nitriles) etc Knowledge on product isolation techniques post reaction and characterization of product Visit customers in South Asia and Asian and provide technical support required to generate new business of Lutropur MSA (Methane sulfonic acid)Main Tasks: Coordinate with reporting manager and Industry marketing manager; plan and execute the lab work for A-EMR/DA Generate and execute lab projects undertaken and develop benefits of our product in customers sales products (Generated during discussions with Industry marketing, customer visits, various internal forums, new concepts & Innovations) Visit customers in South Asia and ASEAN and provide technical support required. Carry out literature search on projects undertaken / new trends or concepts and update reporting manager. Check IP situation and awareness on non-infringement of our competition IP, create IP Lab and Sample/Equipment Management Maintain the tidiness and functionalities of the laboratory.
