Some 18,000 financial services and healthcare organizations, from the worlds largest institutions to local firms, manage and account for their investments using SS&Cs products and services.Job DescriptionPosition: Devops Engineer (PowerShell expert with SQL Server)SS&C Advent, the worlds leading provider of automated solutions for investment professionals, is seeking an experienced and talented DevOpDBA reporting to one of SS&C Mumbai/Gurgaon/Hyderabad/Pune offices.This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a PowerShell expert with SQL experience in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technologies (PowerShell/Jenkins/SQL2019/ PostgreSQL/ MongoDB/k8s) and be part of a. dynamic team supporting Advent Softwares Corporate and SaaS private cloud offerings of hundreds of database servers.Job Responsibilities: Create new automation processes for 500 production database servers to help simplify troubleshooting and database upgrades Automate Installation and configuration using PowerShell for mass database Server deployments Manage/tune existing automation and look for automation opportunities to reduce manual efforts Own and enhance DBA portal to support health check/onboarding/database monitoring/ upgrades and Migrations related reports and scripts Youll be part of the team providing production support for SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/k8s Youll provide production support covering 3 PM IST to 12:30 AM IST, and weekend rotation based on-call Plan and manage schedules for upgrades/Migrations/Onboarding of databases Proactively monitoring database performance by configuring advanced monitoring and alerting tools Troubleshoot Database outages & provide RCAs Mentor and train team members with the latest automation scripting practices (PowerShell/Jenkins)Qualifications: Extensive experience in PowerShell Preferred experience with SQL server/ JavaScript/ Jenkins/ .NET for automation deployments Accomplishes successful and smooth complex automation processes.
