Job Description

    Configuration & Provisioning Engineers primary purpose is to provide L2 support and to ensure completion of requested configuration & provisioning requests in a timely and correct manner by focusing on the configuration, activation and testing of specific services or resources within agreed SLAs. Also, manage the requested (standard) order lifecycle, securing that the requirement has met.Educational Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Telecommunication EngineeringYears of Experience: 4-8 yrs.Key ResponsibilitiesExecuting or Providing support to execute critical activities on Network.Troubleshooting Major/critical issues in network.Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessaryResolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead interventionDocumenting troubleshooting and problem resolution stepsParticipation in providing training to subordinates as. requiredService Configuration & Provisioning as per guidelines, Audit and Reconciliation.Work Order Handling & Fulfillment of Standard Orders.Incident Work-around & Problem Work-around ExecutionPlatform related execution and coordinationExpansion execution and coordination including 3rd partyCoordination with Field Teams, vendors to complete configurations / Migrations and end to end Work orders testing, within agreed SLA /OLA.Backup / Restore of NE/NMS/EMS components to and from internal/external system / Solutions.Routine / On-Demand Report generation on BACKUP/CONFIGURATION /PROVISIONING and STANDARD-WO status.New Feature Implementation, System Software & Application Patch Up gradation as per plan.L2 troubleshooting of issues observed during /post configuration & testing.Collaborate & assist internal teams during network issues and service roll out.MOP / SOP Creation.Support Change Induced Impact Analysis (Service, 3rd party etc), Change Management.Knowledge & SkillsDesirable Knowledge & exposure of Multi-vendor Converge Core products (Mavenir, Nokia, Samsung, Genband, ALU)Hands-on experience in Configuration /Provisioning/Fault diagnosis / O&M on TAS, QNPDB, RCS, STP, MNP, MRF, AGW, UAG, SMSC, IPSM, DND, MCA, SMSGW, IMC, MGW, CFX5000 CSCF, BGW, MME, PCRF, One-NDS, NT-HLR, LTE-HSS, GMLC, DRA, STP, SPR, MGCF.Expert troubleshooting and reasoning skillsKnowledge of 3GPP interfaces (3G/4G), EPC Architecture, Volte, IMS & HSS, PCRF, Services, Routing knowledge, Security Architecture & Network Scalability.Proven experience working on critical system down issues and escalationsKnowledge of LTE call flows , LTE signaling and protocols, Diameter, SIP, LDAP etcShould be able to write small scripts/macros to improve the efficiencyCoordination with Vendors or Field Teams for IMS core nodes depending on day-to-day activities.Hands on experience of Software up gradation/patch up gradation of Core nodes.Implementation of new features in Core Network.Hands On in User acceptance test procedure as per standards.Exposure on EMS/NMS server configuration, Ensure Backup of Core & NMS components.Knowledge of troubleshooting tools like Wireshark / PCAP.Good Knowledge in Database, OS, Shell scripting, Unix, Linux.Good Knowledge in Network Switches, Routers and TCP/IP Protocols etc.CCNA / REDHAT certification would be an advantage.Should possess strong execution & problem solving skills, documentation skills.Desirable IP /Telecom Vendor Certifications, UNIX exposure shall be an added advantage.Core services Node Health checkup and analyzing network KPI,
