• Develop, document & execute process/engineering solution as per customer needs or requirements
• Maintain and increase product and code quality, while ensuring best engineering practices
• Monitor and improve product quality assuring highest customer availability
• Assess not-well-defined design requirements and develop a course of solution/action to meet the expectations of all critical stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve automated test suites which assure the quality of evolving backend products
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Design and develop automation scripts in streamline testing methodology with various test automation tools like Selenium and Robot Framework as needed
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, track software test results in relevant tools/databases and provide timely solutions
• Analyzing user stories/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Automate all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Design and maintain Test Plan and automation testing documentations
• Assist the team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing phase and in production phase
• Planning and co-ordination of testing activities
• Build automation libraries supporting the test automation tool / framework with the objective to improve the testing process
• Collaborate with cross functional groups including software development, operations engineering, software launch and software users to create and execute test matrices (test scenarios and test cases) based on software requirements and tool functionality
• Analyze workflows within and across all departments to determine how the entire process can work better together
• Identify product / project requirements, technical tool and document gaps, and communicate specification issues to internal stakeholders

Who are you

• Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
• Top-tier software engineer with primary focus in Java development and QA with proven proficiency in cloud development
• Hands on experience with Java is required
• 5+ Years of experience in various test and defect management tools like JIRA, etc.
• 5+ Years of experience in various test automation frameworks like Robot, Selenium, QTP, AutoIT etc. is required
• Know how to build enterprise-grade products and systems
• Strong programming skills in relevant languages, SOLID software design principles and the following experience:
  • Extensive experience in one and some knowledge in at least a second one of these programming languages: Java, Python, C++, Go, Scala
• Hands-on experience with integration, bring-up, testing, and debugging of software on hardware platforms; familiar with lab equipment (such as signal generator, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes, etc.) for measurement and test automation
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts including staged/layered testing approaches with string requirements traceability
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes for embedded or safety critical software that meets real-time, low-power, reliability, and security requirements, under hardware resource constraints
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD methods
• Strong communication, analytical approach and problem-solving skills. Pro-active on taking up new challenges by learning new tools and environments.
• Excellent collaborative skills as well as confidence in written and spoken English
• Has experience building back end services composed of lots of moving parts that interface via APIs and SDKs.
• Hands on experience on automation of Web based and windows desktop-based applications
• Proficient knowledge of database query and working knowledge of REST API
• Proficient Knowledge of testing related metrics and standard practices
• The following knowledge would add extra value to your contribution in our team:
  • Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
  • Desired testing certifications viz. ISTQB, CSTE, CP-BAT, CP-MAT, CP-SAT etc.
  • AWS
  • HERE Platform
  • Experience with different DBs
  • Knowledge on location or automotive specific industry standards, e.g., Navigation Data Standard (NDS), Transport Protocol Experts Group (TPEG)

Watch VideoSENIOR Software Engineer (QA) would be a part of the Solution Engineering and Maintenance Center of Excellence tasked with evolving and maintaining HERE Automotive SDK and associated backend services; an SDK that offers functionality on various domains: Routing, Rendering, Search, System, Traffic, Guidance used to enable in-car navigation use cases. Will contribute to a wide range of backend services impacting user experience in cars such as routing algorithms, traffic, road sign and hazard updates served as REST and native APIs.Will be required to understand evolving business processes, responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test automation scripts for in-scope applications. Analysis of existing testing tools / frameworks / processes and identifying improvement opportunities within the same.
