Job Description

Designation- Sr. Supervisor/ Assistant ManagerExperience: 10+ years in Production ManagementQualification: BE/ Diploma (Mechanical)Job Location: Navi Mumbai - RabaleJob Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledge of ERP and MS office is essential.
  2. The candidate should have good leadership qualities and ability to manage unionized blue collar workers.
  3. Review daily production reports against Production Plan and take immediate corrective measures to prevent occurrence of the gaps in future. Give Presentation on Production Performance to Management Monthly
  4. Co-ordinate with PPC, QC, Stores, Maintenanceand Feeder Shop In-charge for smooth operations of the shop
  5. Use of ERP - Production Module - System for monitoring Material Consumption, WIP.
  6. Reduce WIP at all Production shops. Prepare Monthly WIP intime.
  7. Ensure Efficient use of Resources i.e. Manpower, Machines, Material, Time. Improve Productivity,
  8. Reduce Process Cycle Time, Reduce Wastages, making Material and Machines available right time.
  9. Identify and take actions to reduce Production Bottlenecks
  10. Increase Productivity by Controlling Production Losses due to Rework, Rejection, Scrap, Mishandling of Tools & Machines, and high Process Cycle Time. Monitor and Control Productivity Index (Ratio = Sales Turnover and Manpower Strength), % Manpower cost Vs. Sales Turnover, Reduce Manpower Strength through Process Improvement, Increasing Productivity, Changing Process Sequence, Combining Operations, Reduce Tool / Die Change-over Time,Reduce Overhead Expenses etc.
  11. Improve Material Handling and Storage facilities. Reduce Non-value added activities in handling and storage.
  12. Provide suitable tools, gauges, fixtures, software, hardware, training required to carry-out the operations.
  13. Implement 5S and LEAN Activities in the shops and ensure the sustenance of these activities through reviews and audits. Give Presentation on 5S & Lean Performance to Management Monthly
  14. Take preventive actions on the Non-conformities observed during process to prevent recurrence.
  15. Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  16. Use of Visual Management Production / Operator Performance Displays
  17. Maintain Process-wise, Machine-wise Daily Production Data like Plan Vs. Actual Production, Machine Run Time, Machine Break-down Time, and Manpower deployed, Process rejection, Rework, Scrap.
  18. Resolve employee Grievances, Improve Employee Engagement, Reduce Absenteeism and Attrition.
  19. Maintain Discipline on shop floor i.e. Missing from the work place. Refusing the work. No creation of Major Issues (Physical assault, Theft, negligence in performing duty, Sleeping in working Hours, Sabotaging Equipment, System, Property , Excess Absenteeism etc.)
  20. Provide guidance to team members to accomplish production goals.
  21. Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices. Ensure use of Safety Accessories, PPE ( Safety Shoes, Brazing Goggles, Ear Phone, Hand Gloves, Electrical Grade Rubber Mat ) at the work place.
  22. Comply to ISO 9001-15 System
  23. Train and Develop Shop Supervisors, Engineers and Production Operators to improve productivity and reduce wastages. Plan & develop people Multiskilling
