Job Description

    • Working with Product Owners to schedule releases and outage windows around key business activities
    • Managing the confirmed scoping, planning, progress tracking, cross application deliverables, code deployment readiness and risk management of each release delivery cycle
    • Plan the delivery of enhancements, project deliverables and defect fixes through the release life cycle.
    • Communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different delivery teams to ensure coordinated deliverables across platforms to achieve business outcomes.
    • Coordinate scheduling of phases and activities across team resources to ensure effective team utilisation across phases. Including scheduling of activities required by SAAS and third-party application development teams.
    • Coordinate the scheduling of all release types across the team. This includes defect backlogs, planned releases, application upgrades and infrastructure updates.
    • Identify and mitigate the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
    • Track the progress of tickets and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.
    • Make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements, critical business deadlines and budget.
    • Manage the release readiness reviews before test exit and deployment readiness and ensure retrospective reviews after each release.
    • Create plans for the implementation and deployment of features aligned with the available outage windows, per the release schedule. Review and update to keep the plan dynamic and aligned to the changing demand and business priorities
    • Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities
    • Communicate with release managers/project managers from different IT departments.
    • Team up with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software.
    • Own the CAB process for this application group, ensuring CAB requests are in and updated ahead of releases and attending the CAB meetings as the representative to discuss the release schedules and overcome roadblocks, if any.
    • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
    • Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.
    • Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully, own and manage the deployment plan and run book
