Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities of Sales ManagerSales Objectives

  • Drive identified Initiatives in the Zone to achieve the overall sales objectives.
  • Development, Distribution expansion & Sales Operation.
  • Identify the critical challenges affecting sales & take remedial action/escalate to HO.
  • Continuously identify gaps in the regular working of direct reports.
  • Bring focus to the business of new Products.
Process Handling
  • Be an expert on firms systems, processes, policies and business module (SPPB).
  • Impart training to direct reportees on SPPB during their induction.
  • Collaborate with HO on feedback to improvements in the SPPB
People Management
  • Ensure timely recruitment, training, retention, and career progression of right quality people.
  • Achieve clarity on role & responsibilities of direct reports.
  • Continuously audit the market work done by direct reports; assess and guide to improve market working.
  • Identify review process and reports which reflect the role and responsibilities of each employee.
  • Ensure business reviews are conducted in the zone as per the laid down process.
Market Connect and promotions
  • Engage with the top customers & distributors in the zone.
  • Carry out intensive field visits and interact with employees, distributors and end users.
  • Collect feedback on all aspects of the business including product quality, pricing, packing, new product
ideas, supply situations, competition activities, schemes, etc.
  • Share structured feedback to HO and consult to improvements with key stakeholders
  • Identify success stories and replicate in other parts of the zone.
  • Inventory, Receivables & Commercial Policies Management
  • Drive collection of receivables in case of exceptions
  • Periodically engage with end-user/influencer panels for seeking feedback & suggestions.
Business Planning
  • Make Annual and Quarterly plan for market development activities.
  • Scheme design (in consultation with HO) and feedback on effectiveness of schemes.
  • Co-ordinate with NSM for preparing annual budget and business plan for the zone.
  • Co-ordinate with Marketing Manager in HO for execution of field marketing activities.
