Application Development ConsultantLocation Remote ArgentinaPosting date 2 days ago(6/10/2021 8:37 AM)Job ID 87383 Category Application Development, Consulting Job summary Red Hats Consulting team is looking for an Application Development Consultant to join us in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this role, you will be the key Red Hat representative on customer sites, where you will guide the on-site delivery and implementation of our middleware solutions. As a highly respected and valued member of the Consulting team, youll need to have a diverse and deep understanding of middleware and open source solutions, as well as demonstrated experience applying these technologies successfully. Youll also facilitate successful project delivery by providing reference architectures, proofs of concepts, benchmarks, training sessions, designs, automation programs or scripts, performance enhancements, documentation, and patches for our offerings. As an Application Development Consultant, you will advance your technical and professional capabilities using both your ability to master new technologies and Red Hats unparalleled training programs. Primary job responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact on customer sites for Red Hat Consulting, addressing customer technical, development, and strategic IT requirements
  • Be responsible for project management, including project status, issues, and time reporting
  • Identify problems, define system architecture, specify and design hardware and software, train customers, and implement, test, and deploy open source solutions
  • Maintain a complete understanding of industry practices and Red Hats policies and procedures
  • Work on problems of diverse scope, including evaluating different factors to analyze data
  • Use sound judgement to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Required skills
  • Excellent technical skills and experience designing and implementing Java and JEE solutions
  • In-depth experience with Red Hat Application Services; knowledge of other major middleware solutions like Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, or webMethods is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and status of key projects to required stakeholders and both business and technical audiences
  • Ability to constantly learn new technologies on your own and apply these concepts to customer needs
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of Hibernate and Apache Tomcat is a plus
