Within this role the primary focus is anything related to supporting our post-sales support experience. Veritas technical support engineers work 24x7 to resolve customer issues that keep our customers information available and their enterprise resilient.The Sr Data Scientist role is an exciting blend of data, business and technology. This role will work with internal customers and business operations resources to develop strategic reporting, dashboarding and data solutions across Global Services. Working closely with the business performance team, this role will assist in creating global operational templates, scorecards and dashboards to compile and standardize disparate information that drive standardized reporting and metrics tracking.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:As a Data Scientist, your focus will be on applying AI/ML models and algorithms to established datasets used by the CSTS business unit. You willEvaluate project ideasIdentify relevant data or data gapsEvaluate data quality and perform remediationProduce AI/ML modelsWork with other members of the Business Intelligence team to integrate model output into existing or new reportsRequired Skills include:Post graduate degree or university-based certification in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Mathematics with 1-3 years of experience is preferredConfirmed knowledge of algorithms and design patternsConfirmed experience using AI/ML coding tools such as Python or RConfirmed knowledge of a structured query language (TSQL preferred but others such as MySQL or Oracle acceptable)Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.Design, develop and maintain high quality codeAbility to collaborate with teammates and various cross-functional teams in a multinational environment to implement innovative and viable solutionsWillingness and ability to share knowledgeDesired Skills include:Experience with text analysis including classification, sentiment analysis, topic analysis, keyword extraction, or collocationAt Veritas, we care about the causes close to your heart and enable you to volunteer, donate, and do good.
