Data Warehouse Specialist - Business Intelligence

Job Description

Onit is looking to hire an experienced Reporting Data Warehouse Specialist proficient in PostgreSQL, Tableau, Python and database/data warehouse technologies. In this role, we are looking for go-getters who can multitask, and manage tasks across product development, as well as provide specialized SQL assistance to other Tableau report writers across the organization. The candidate should have proven prior experience creating database objects, writing and tuning complex queries, views, procedures/functions while keeping performance in mind for large datasets. Responsibilities:- Be the subject matter expert in the team on the database structure, writing performant functions and SQL queries, and help teammates execute efficiently in their daily activities related to these areas.- Assist in data validation and ensure consistency among several incoming data sources.- Develop, test, and deliver quality end products in the form of database structures, functions and proper indexing to allow successful reports, dashboards or other analytics deliverables to the customer base.- Work effectively with the internal organization when required for production issues related to nightly refresh jobs and performance.- Works as an integral part of the product development team to ensure delivery timelines are met per expectations.- Work closely with the DBA.- Participate in Daily Scrum activities of the Reporting Team.- Provide assistance to team members where needed.Skills/Qualifications:- Strong knowledge and experience in developing data warehouses and data sources for reports with Tableau- Strong knowledge of Relational Databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server- Ability to independently create, test, and deploy database objects like tables, views- Ability to write sound, efficient and proper SQL statements ensuring stability, reliability, and performance of the database objects and reports/dashboards deployed- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and resolve or escalate to other teams quickly and efficiently- Experience with large datasets- Typical relevant experience 5-8 years- Capable of taking innovative approaches to problem-solving- Strong, positive interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills- Certifications in SQL Databases a big plus- Certifications in BI Tools like Tableau, PowerBI, BusinessObjects, IBM Cognos Analytics a plus- Programming expertise in languages like Python, Ruby, Java a plus- Bachelor of Engineering in computer science/Software engineering or other similar equivalent disciplines in management or equivalent.About SimpleLegalWe are here to build a world-class enterprise SaaS product that our customers love, that has the best support of any software product they use, in an environment that celebrates company and personal success.
