Expert Software Architect

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Drives technology initiatives in the organization e.g. build scalable systems, faster data processing, micro services architecture, fully automated CI/CD pipelines, replace existing system components with better alternatives, make technical stack choices, security.
• The architect is also expected to lead initiatives for high quality code. He or she should be ready to lead by example.
• The architect will work in a matrix organizational structure and work with developers, quality assurance, DevOPS and Ops team. Thus collaboration will be a very important aspect of the role.
• The architect will also be involved in new product initiatives for faster and more stable delivery of features.

Required Domain Experience

• Experience in one of the popular cloud platforms AWS, Azure, GCP is mandatory
• Experience in Azure Cloud Native service development, Azure DevOps, API Management, Service Fabrics, Service Bus, Azure Storage, SQL Azure, Container Service, Application Insight, Logic Apps, Notification Hub, Integrations (Synchronous, Asynchronous) are highly desired.
• Experience in working with clients to understand requirements, come up with the product architecture, design and estimate efforts.
• Deep understanding of Java, J2EE, SOA/Web services, EAI patterns, long running business processes, UML and OOAD
• Experienced in using Websphere, WebLogic, JBOSS or TomCat application servers
• Must be knowledgeable in at least one of the relational DBs (Oracle, DB2 or MS-SQL)
• Experience is Javascript, CSS, Angular, EXTJS, Bootstrap, JQuery is preferred
• JSP, Servlet, Tag Libray,, XSLT, Restful API s is preferred
• Good understanding of Java, J2EE, SOA/Web services, EAI patterns, long running business processes, UML and OOAD.
• 10 years of overall software development experience, preferably in a product development company
• BE/B. Tech in CS, ECE, IT or Computer applications
• Desired Domain Experience
• Expertise in building multi-channel solutions for desktop, tablets and smart phones
• Prior experience in building multi-tenanted cloud hosted applications
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum and secure development methodologies
• Financial services software development

• Provides technical thought leadership, strategy, and advice specific to an area of focus, such as a product line or a defined network or group of applications
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation. Uses judgement to select evaluation criteria and identify innovative solutions
• Requires interaction with broader range of stakeholders with client and business impact
• Leads sophisticated root cause analysis
• Communicates difficult or complex concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
• Anticipates potential customer objections and persuades others
