Job Description

    Job Summary Eaton Corporation s Center for Intelligent Power has an opening for a Lead Data Scientist who is passionate about his or her craft. The Data Scientist will be experienced in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI based algorithm development. In addition to this Data Scientist will also be involved in successful integration of these algorithms in edge or cloud systems using CI/CD and software release process. Job Responsibilities
    • Carry out data analytics and optimization using machine learning & deep learning and Involved in strategic planning for data analytics
    • Integrate data & perform ad-hoc analysis and prototype ideas, research and develop statistical models, and run experiments
    • Iterate in order to design data-driven solutions that help solve critical business problems and better understand company needs and contribute innovative ideas to enhance or develop products using new or existing data streams
    • Present and promote results to both internal stakeholders and external clients and partners
    • Use suitable databases and project designs to boost joint development efforts
    • Improve and support existing data science products and Develop custom data models and algorithms
    • Build tools and processes that help monitor and analyze performance and data accuracy and leverage predictive modeling to optimize targeting, revenue generation, customer experiences, and more
    • The candidate will demonstrate exceptional impact in delivering projects in terms of architecture, technical deliverables and project delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
    • The candidate is expected to be conversant with Agile methodologies and tools and have a track record of delivering products in a production environment
    • Work with a team of experts in deep learning, machine learning, distributed systems, program management, and product teams, and work on all aspects of design, development and delivery of deep learning enabled end-to-end pipelines and solutions.
    • Lead the development of technical solutions and implement architectures for project and products across data engineering and data science teams
    • Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions
    • Author high-quality, highly-performance, unit-tested code to extract and transform data based on business and data science needs
    • Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality solutions that solve end-user problems.
    • Explore and recommend new tools and processes which can be leveraged across the data preparation pipeline for capabilities and efficiencies
    • Collaborate broadly across multiple functions (data engineering, product management, IT, etc.) to readily make key data readily available and easily consumable
    Qualifications Qualifications Education level required:
    • Master s degree or Ph.D. (preferred) in computer science, Data Science, Electronics, Digital signal processing or related field.
    Years and area of experience required:
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in delivering technology solutions in a production environment
    • 6+ years of experience in the software industry as a developer, with a proven track record of shipping high quality products
    • 4 years working with customers (internal and external) on developing requirements and working as a solutions architect to deliver end-to-end solution.
    Technical knowledge:RequiredMaster Computer Science or Equivalent Engineering with Electives/Thesis in ML, Deep Learning, AI, Statistics, Data Mining, Digital Signal ProcessingExperience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning (CNN,RNN, .), Reinforcement Learning, Optimization Techniques, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Recommendation AI Systems.Experience in Tensor Flow, Scikit, Keras, Spark MLGood Progamming Knowledge in Python, R, Matlab, C/C++, Java, PySpark, SparkR, Scala and has good Linux platformHands-on experience with any of the Graph databases Neo4j/Tigergraph/StardogStrong Knowledge of LPG, RDF, RDFS, OWL etc.Experience in querying & data manipulation in Cypher/SPARQL/GraphQLBasic understanding of graph algorithms such as link prediction, graph search, Node Classification, etc.Candidate should have a strong understanding to build knowledge graphs and generate actionable insights.Good software architecture skills to understands the end to end software development cycle including CI/CD and software release.Experience in at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google)Excellent communication (verbal, presentation, documentation) skills, working with teams that are geographically dispersed, to produce solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and the ability to effectively explain technical conceptsExtensive experience with Agile development methodologies and conceptsStrong problem solving and software debugging skillsAbreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologiesGood judgment, time management, and decision-making skillsDesired:Knowledge of design and deployment of a Data LakeKnowledge of Cloudera Hadoop, ML opsKnowledge of IoT technologies, including cloud processing, like Azure IoT Hub.Experience in Design Thinking or human-centered methods to identify and creatively solve customer needs, through a holistic understanding of customer s problem areaAdvanced degree and/or specialization in related descipline (e.g. machine learning)Knowledgeable in leveraging multiple data transit protocols and technologies (MQTT, Rest API, JDBC, etc)Knowledge of Hadoop and MapReduce/Spark or related frameworksKnowledge of MongoDB, Document DB, CosmosDBKnowledge of ScalaSoft skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
    • Work as a part of virtual, global team

    • The ability to understand academic research and apply new data science techniques
